Thank you very much to everyone for all the good wishes. Some very unfortunate news to report in that after 20 miles Darryl slid off on a corner and looks to have broken his femur. He was obviously in some pain but he is stable and the medics were on the scene pretty fast. No head damage or anything. Certainly caused a stir with a helicopter required to airlift him to hospital.

Hopefully get an update later, possible from Mark who was kindly taking his bike home.

Wishing you the fastest possible recovery Darryl and absolutely gutted for you if you cannot make the Spain trip.

Hi guys Claire here. Darryl wanted me to let you all know that he is ok and wants to thank everybody for taking such good care of him. He is now in the rah ward 23 and it has been confirmed he's broken his femur. Surgery probably tomorrow. Will keep you all posted. Thanks claire

Thanks for all the kind words. Quick update: surgery is planned for tomorrow involving various bits of metal being inserted. 6 weeks of reduced weight in the leg and then we will see.

So,if anyone fancies taking my place at La Sufrida and accompanying Paul - LA GUNS - McMillan, get in touch now!
