I am just catching up with all this. Speedy recovery!
Track is, IMHO, much riskier than road. Therefore I reluctantly sold my track bike. (That was two strikes)
Recent faux pas counts as three but then where is the fun in gardening??

I would have a look at http://thecycleclinic.co.uk/
He builds several wheels with 24h rear. He also uses the Novatec hubs but only recommends them for dry summer use.
 
The Miche Primato is highly recommended for all weather, and it is cheap!

Two for me please.

Hired a bike and covered 190 miles in 3 days. Not too hot (25 C).
Not a big island so have just about been on every road there is!!

Following Darryls crash on Saturday the people living in the local cottage were incredibly supportive and generous in helping Daryll, providing a quilt, support for his back etc etc. They offered many of us to tea or coffee also. As a note of thanks and update from the club I've sent a card and some flowers to Muriel.
