  1. Hi Sunday looks good for a visit to Dunoon , 08:30 club rooms for those riding down and 10am ferry , hopefully I will drive to ferry
  2. Can’t make it tonight as I have a Spanish lesson , maybe next week
  3. Yes there may be people going out but it ain’t a Sunday Main Bunch Ride , it’s usually a shortish recovery ride for those who have been out the day before. Will it change I don’t think so , does using WhatsApp help no it doesn’t, is anybody posting Sunday Runs in advance on here or anywhere no not really for the main bunch , is it dead ? There is definitely not much sign of life , maybe it’s time to switch the life support off , and live by the chaos of WhatsApp and Saturday Rides
  4. Hi All main bunch or fast longer bunch. With the current drive to posting runs on watts app , it would appear that the traditional Sunday run has died a death, with a fairly large group riding on Saturdays , they subsequently post short recovery rides on Sundays which seems to be driving the last few nails into the Sunday run . So what’s the thoughts on the main bunch , is Saturday the new Sunday if not what has happened to the Sunday run. IMO it’s dead , evidences for this is nothing is posted, it’s always very last minute, rarely posted on here , and if posted on WhatsApp some one usually posts over the original ride so it becomes a confusing chain of nonsense.

Hi there, I hope that email finds you and your members well. Whilst we would usually only send out an update email once a month, there are a few updates that are time sensitive so I would appreciate your support in passing these onto your members where appropriate. Covid-19 Guidance Update With the removal of the legal mandate on the wearing of face coverings from today, there are now no measures in place which restrict the activity that your club can deliver. We’d like to thank you all, particularly those within your club that stepped forward to fulfil the Covid-19 Coordinator role for all their time over the past few years in supporting the safe delivery of activity. British Cycling Coach Education/Development consultation British Cycling are embarking upon a roadshow as they review their coaching framework. There is an in person workshop this Thursday eveningin Glasgow (see details via the web link below), and there are also a number of virtual opportunities for those that can't make it to an in-person session. https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/coaching/article/20220404-Revolutionising-our-Coaching-Offer-0?fbclid=IwAR283P58fFcxDCeLwAQpGz6our8lZEDQOKdwYyv8CCKFZPr47P1dA7nbRus Club Confined Time Trials – Policy Update We are delighted to advise you of some very positive changes that will be implemented from this year onwards. Thanks to your valued feedback, we have had very constructive discussions with British Cycling on some progressive steps we can take to enhance the club confined time trial offering in Scotland. Second claim club members will now be permitted to ride club confined time trials and the maximum number of participants per event has been increased to 80. This we feel will increase the accessibility and engagement with club confined time trials for all who wish to participate. British Cycling have agreed to trial these changes for 12 months on the basis that the guidance on risk assessing and running club confined time trials is implemented. The benefits of this being to help clubs mitigate risk and also demonstrate to the British Cycling insurers, in the event that a claim is made, that we have in place published and accessible guidance available to clubs. Please find the updated Club Confined Time Trial policy here - which includes links to the risk assessment guidance and risk assessment template. The process for registering club confined time trials are also outlined in the above document, with details on the associated costs if applicable. If you have any questions on this or anything in relation to the new changes, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected] and we will be happy to help. 6. Hi all second claim as of today second claim members should be able to ride club confined TT,s as now covered under BC insurance, not sure how many of the JWCC are second claims but it might increase numbers
  7. Forget , the north side , time for a classic Lumpy Largs , Gledoch , Wall , Loch T, then back over The lovely Fairly climb 09:30
  8. Going to Spain 🇪🇸 for a couple of cervezas
  9. We sort of got sort of lost but not lost , when did they shut the last section of the transmitter hill ? We had a discussion after transmitter hill which resulted in not doing the graveyard climb so it was only a left leg bender . Enjoy Flanders and the Beer
  10. Can’t follow that what’s crap app so George has posted Galston Leg Bender , lumpy ride 09:30 Club Rooms post here or on watts app . It’s not that long but two fairly tough hills and draggy roads
  11. Re participation, the reliability rides have always been hit and miss depending on the weather, the three groups worked ok, do these need changed ? Maybe different routes but otherwise they are fine, re time trials at the moment the club looses any second claim , not sure how many that is but maybe that needs looked at, secondly looking at other strips for the 10 TT might be an option and or changing day from Tuesday to Saturday, eliminates looses due to work
  12. Does your initial dates need revised ?
  13. So not a confined event then? Plus I don’t think we should encourage drinking alcohol either before or after an event , I think puddle water for these wild cyclists is more than enough
  14. I take it there is nobody out for this , as nobody has bothered to post
