Hope to be there. I am wondering if i can bring the boy (15) along. He has no bunch experience but has been out with me a few times. He will easily last the pace, but would benefit (as would I) from some tuition in bunch riding.

Was hoping to get him to the Jets Road race sessions, but they have now finished.

Will go with the consensus.

Len,

I personally don't see that being a problem, but I would suggest that "the boy" start the ride at the back & sit in next to an experience rider who can explain to him & talk him through the basics of the etiquette of bunch riding. It ain't rocket science, I'm sure he will do just fine as long as the distance is not an issue for him.

Hope to see you on Sunday!

Cheers

Len, no worries regards bringing the boy along. You will be required to be his responsible adult as per Mul's advice. I'll make sure your in the same bunch. Chung's comment about latching onto an experienced bunch rider and have home give your boy a quick run through the does and don'ts.

If you think the distance won't be a problem then all good - the more the merrier. The pace will be forgiving.

What a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Good to put faces to those who I have only heard of by name. Many thanks to those who organised this and to those who encouraged Mark on his first run, Chung especially. Hello, beer !!

Mark had a great time and now fancies doing the Hill Climb next week!!! What age does he have to be to join the Wheelers and take part more regularly? Save me from trying to keep up with him!

Sorry we couldn't make it back for a bit of socialising at he clubhouse.

How about a similar run early next year to mark the start of next season and encourage newbies and not so newbies to join the bunches?
