  2. I built up this bike back in 2018 with the intention of using it as a fixed-gear for winter training. My good intentions never came to fruition and I added an 18-tooth freewheel to get more use out of the bike after realising that living at the top of a hill was not compatible with riding fixed. It was tough getitng up there, but getting down was even worse as my legs couldn't keep up with the pedals. So the bike has done less than 200 miles since being built, and needs to go to a good home. The parts as listed below cost just under £400 from Planet-X. I'll be happy to accept £200 ono. 3. Not only wet, but pretty windy as well. Looks like a long lie beckons.
  4. I'll be in Liverpool, rather than spearheading the 8:30 superslow group.
  5. I won't be out for the next 2 or 3 weeks either. Looks like the weather is going to be a bit problematic tomorrow anyway.
  6. Good run today - but it showed up just how much fitness has been lost. Thanks to Dave and Mitch for waiting at the top of every incline, and to Mitch for the coffee and scone at the cafe.
  7. I'll not be out tomorrow - fortunately (as it's going to be very cold) we have an important early lunch date in the far east (of Glasgow).
  8. Lovely run today. Thanks to Alan for the navigation and to everybody else keeping the pace manageable for me.
  9. I'm going to try to make it. Not been out with the group for a while. Don't wait, though, if I'm not there on time.
  10. I'll be trying to make it if the weather's not too bad.
  11. Good run, good company. Thanks for all the support to keep me going.
  12. Can't make it this week. I should finally get my life back after the last of the family leave tomorrow and may manage to get out later on. Hopefully back to normal next week, but probably even slower than before.
  13. One of my favourite routes. However, I doubt if I'll be there - I have plans on winning a golf competition on Monday and experience shows that good golf is not possible on tired legs.
  14. Got a couple of the grandkids staying over, so won't be out.
  15. Great run and huge scones. Thanks to Dave for organising.
  16. Brilliant run yesterday. Time-trialled back to Gourock - no train, so carried on as fast as possible to Port Glasgow and just made the train from Wemyss Bay by a couple of minutes - so SWMBO is still talking to me - though I did have to wash the dishes last night.
