What is the objective when out on the bike? Hopefully this is not construed as critical, decisive or the forum equivalent of lighting the blue touch paper as it is the last thing it is meant to be. There would be choices of distances/speeds etc or maybe even a day off the bike. Folk have said they want a trip like Italy but without the pressure of the event. And this trip is open to anyone in the club, regardless of what group they like to ride with on a Sunday. If you're wanting a villa for example, you need to find 10 etc and book away, forgetting anyone else. We had 20 on the original interested list so I don't know where they are. George etc?? I know I'm sharing with Chung in the Duva (probably), so I'm not thinking about anything else. Just waiting til we have a group waiting to book so Chung and I aren't having a holiday for 2 If you're going to share with somone, get an apartment etc and go for it. Looking forward to it already Excellent Out of interest, can I ask how much that came in at, booking different planes etc. For those leaving on the Thurs, there's only Jet2 and Thomas Cook that fly...but for your info with booking with Jet2....you get 10kg hand luggage and 22kg hold luggage included but the bike is £30 each way (20kg). After booking online, phone the after sales team on 0800 408 5597 and it's paid to them. The hotel transfers are included for people but it's 8 euros each way that's paid to the driver. 2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted September 29, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 29, 2012 Flight out on Saturday 27th was £88 + £25 (for bike, I booked sport equipment so will phone and upgrade to bike which according to site costs another £5) + various fees = £123 plus maybe £5. Flight back = euros 65+ 30 (bike)+ various fees = euros 103. Don't know about hotel as Darryl booked that. Had considered hiring a small car for 5 days which would be about £80 for a Seat Ibiza which could take 2 bodies and 2 bikes, still to decide. On flights each person has a 10 kg cabin bag and a bike bag (20kg jet2 and 32kg easyjet, better take a light bike then, mmmm might even need to buy lighter stuff ) JUST TO MENTION THAT 27th IS A SATURDAY NOT A THURSDAY, JUST TO AVOID ANY CONFUSION ! Jet2 Select your dates then click on Puerto Pollensa. On the left, narrow the search to 4 stars and then scroll down a wee bit and you'll see the Duva.
