Art'n'salvage in Dalry are holding a cycle jumble sale this Saturday from 10 am. If you're looking for a vintage steel frame or vintage parts, it's definitely worth getting along for a rummage.

I found this on the CTT Georgetown league fb page. I'm up for it this year, anyone else?
This years annual Loch Eck drum up will take place on Sunday ( 20th Oct) and you are all cordially invited. Same format as previous years- meet at MacInroy's Point Ferry terminal Gourock in time for the 10 am ferry. Choice of runs - either do the Ardentinny loop (good practice for the GTR CTT Scotland Super Series event being held here in June 2020!) or if you are feeling like an easy day then just head straight up the Lochside to the drum up where Ian will have a roaring fire waiting for you. You can then either stick to traditional drum up fare of burnt toasted cheese washed down with tea drunk from a questionable billy can - or follow Gerard Deeley's example and really get creative with your outdoors cooking - I think last year it was something involving Venison and truffles. The choice is yours! Regardless of the weather there in no better sight than Argyll in its Autumnal splendour and no better way to spend the day than setting the world to rights round the fire in good company. Drumming up is a cycling tradition in danger of being lost in the mists of time so lets keep it going - even if its only once a year!

AlanT reacted to P McDonald in Bellahouston Crit 5th October
Well, in my head I had an excellent result.
However in reality I had 100k with a resurgent McGunson and big Al from couriers. Judging by my TSS score and my legs squeaking I think the crit would have been easier

There is a yellow warning in place for the area for Sunday all day. I'll make a decision on Sunday no later than 07.45 whether to call this run off.

AlanT reacted to Codg1e in Joe Brunetti Hill Climb Championship, Sunday 29th Sept.
My first time entering this event, marking my one year anniversary of joining the club. Thought the finish line was further up the hill so saved some in the tank for that. Well, that's my excuse anyway
Thanks to all organisers and helpers. Great wee morning!!

Wide open this year
Cedric in Portugal, Sam in Mallorca, Robbie in hibernation, Stuart unable to make it, Marc and Galeb possibly boycotting, Ian doing the Lyle hill climb. So that leaves the big question....Is there anyone left who can beat the new slimmed down Charlie?

I had planned on being there to do catcher at the top but still out of action with both hands fractured due to car crash 😥
All the best to all riders young and old

AlanT got a reaction from Richard in Joe Brunetti Hill Climb Championship, Sunday 29th Sept.
Ladies and gentlemen, the final confined event of the season, the Joe Brunetti Hill Climb championship. This is a whole club event, with the Elliston Castle Road being closed for the duration of the event, so a good turnout is appreciated.
In recent years the main club has gone off first, then stayed around afterwards to cheer on the Jets, and this year should be no exception. Following the event, riders can go off on runs to suit their ability and leg conditions.
First rider off at 10:30, registration from 10:00. Once you have registered, you need to wait around to get your start time, generally around 5 minutes before the first rider goes off.
I can confirm that I have a copy of the Road Closure notice, which I will be putting up on site on Friday 20th.
Some volunteers are required to assist with putting out signs, timekeeping and holding, and then recovering the signs and moving the barriers aside once the event is complete.

Tour of the Trossachs on. For the TT’ers, forget the Georgetown and the Westferry. This TT is the TT to beat all TT’s. Bucket list material. Get entered.

Slightly later than planned, the last opportunity for a whole club run this summer. Meeting at Amaretto's at 9:00, rolling out around 09:15, to Largs. The favoured route is Georgetown, Bishopton, Westferry, Port Glasgow, and round the coast to Largs. Options for those feeling a bit more energetic are via Loch Thom. Options for those feeling less energetic is a short cut via the cycle track direct to Port Glasgow.
The intention is for bunches of mixed abilities, with stronger riders sitting on the front for longer spells
After the café stop, it is suggested that the groups break up into their natural ability groups and there are a variety of routes home. (Brisbane Glen, Healy Brae, West Kilbride).
Post up if you're coming so that I can give the Bagel Basket a heads up on numbers.
