Got signed off by Doc this week. he told me it will take a few months to get leg back to anything like normal but he suggested that if I had a bike I should start easy cycling as non load bearing. THINK I CAN DO THAT DOC!!!

Colin McPhee got a reaction from Ramsay in WOSCA RR Wed 7th
The change of course did not help but won't use that as an excuse. The ' neutralised' section was certainly chaotic and it distracted me from my game plan of starting near the front ( turns out everyone had the same idea) . This meant I was struggling to make up ground on the climb. Having not been able to look at a profile I just didn't pace myself well going up to the village and when the bunch turned the corner I was duly pumped. Mental note to myself - make sure you are fresh going into the next race. Still learning and hoping to s better next time out

Colin McPhee got a reaction from P McDonald in WOSCA GGCC 3rd July 2013
Great performance from Andy - he's in great form. I decided to have some goals for this race rather than worry too much about where I finished as I just need to improve my race mentality and ability to conserve energy for the difficult bits i.e. hills. So my goals were to move into any gaps which appeared and to be in a decent position for the climbs and to work really hard to hold on to the wheel so as not to get. It was all going according to plan. However as we came to the aptly named 'expletive deleted of a drag' I was well positioned and hanging in comfortably however about halfway up an opportunity arose for me to move further up the bunch on a downhill section so I pressed on. Then - just as I got to the steep bit POP !! my move forward meant I had to slow to the pace at the front and I lost momentum and before I could regain it was out the back and fighting like mad to get back on. Oh well the learning curve goes on. On the plus side felt much more confident moving around the bunch and conserving energy. Good to see Chung cheering us on. Great night to be out on the bike.

7 trapped tonight. Iain C, myself & Iain Ulrich trundled off first with young Greig, Billy, Davie B & Colin pursuing at 3 mins.
Was a bit scrappy at first until Iain C agreed to ride uphill at 30% effort.
We stayed away until the end with Iain Ulrich joining the not so elite band of riders to beat me in a sprint.
The pursuers only took about 30-40 seconds off us.
Turns out Billy chucked it early doors & Greig followed a couple of laps later.
Sore legs & a good night.
Nighty-night!

Colin McPhee reacted in JWCC Confined APR - Thursday 13th June
Guys, Billy is in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, sipping cava, feasting on tapas and chips but you just know he wishes he was on Peesweep tonight.
It's a peculiar condition commonly known as "being a cyclist"
Sort of enjoyed tonight but it's abundantly clear I need to lose some serious beef. Strong on the flat but the slightest incline and I'm hanging on.
Colin, is there no a decent chippy in Bishy that you could frequent?

Main bunch Rest and be Thankful, Strachur, Dunoon ride. Truly epic. Tight bunch of 8, a very reasonable pace, warm sunshine, couple of climbs, and the new girl at the Strachur cafe showing off her wares.
Liquid refreshment/recovery chilling in the fridge, smell of gammon steaks on the BBQ and for me 123 miles on the clock.
Brill day in good company. Cheers guys. Hope everyone made it home safe.

Chapeau Andy. You were looking strong when we saw you, but once you lose the bunch it's awfully difficult to get back. But you weren't far off.
