Hi Paul.

Main bunch varies but we tend to go a bit faster than the other groups.

Expect in the region of 18-20 when riding steady on the flat with faster surges when habbling.

A re-group can be expected on top of hills (while they wait for me)

Btw-if you are riding to & from ferry you will be nudging 100 miles so bring plenty of food!

Billy, have you been told to be home early for your Sunday night bath or something? 09.00 at the ferry!?! I'll have to be out of bed at 6am and in the saddle for 7 am to even get close to catching it. I don't mind an early rise at the weekend but there's early and there's EARLY!!!!! There are ferries at least every half hour. Can I suggest the 10 am ferry knowing that you'll agree 09.30. Would rather ride down to and back from the ferry than drive. Only saying like.

Paul

You will need some gels I usually take scotch pies but they get a bit messy to eat

Miller street is in Johnstone easier to find out where you are coming from before giving directions

Paul, whereabouts in Paisley?

I can meet you & guide you in.

Mate, you WILL need more than a 'nana to ride this distance over these climbs so best to stock up.

George

He might be young and strong as he thinks 20 mph is a dawdle

Paul I live near the hospital will be leaving house at 0745 for a saunter up Elderslie main road and then track

I never said 20 was a dawdle. It's below my average speed so I should cope

I did a 5-hour ride up through the Campsie Fells a few weeks ago and only had 2 bananas. A good breakfast sees me right :)

Billy/George I'm on Maxwellton Street. If I'm coming where should I get you? Thanks
