paulcuthbert
I'm tempted to make this my first. What kind of pace will you be doing on the ride?
Guest GEORGE DONNELLY
Hi Paul. Â Main bunch varies but we tend to go a bit faster than the other groups. Â Expect in the region of 18-20 when riding steady on the flat with faster surges when habbling. Â A re-group can be expected on top of hills (while they wait for me) Â Btw-if you are riding to & from ferry you will be nudging 100 miles so bring plenty of food! Mark O
Billy, have you been told to be home early for your Sunday night bath or something? 09.00 at the ferry!?! I'll have to be out of bed at 6am and in the saddle for 7 am to even get close to catching it. I don't mind an early rise at the weekend but there's early and there's EARLY!!!!! There are ferries at least every half hour. Can I suggest the 10 am ferry knowing that you'll agree 09.30. Would rather ride down to and back from the ferry than drive. Only saying like. paulcuthbert
Food? I never eat on rides. That kinda pace suits me right down to the ground though. Â Where is Miller Street?
Guest EPCC
Paul You will need some gels I usually take scotch pies but they get a bit messy to eat Miller street is in Johnstone easier to find out where you are coming from before giving directions
paulcuthbert
I've never used them. If I have anything it'll be a banana. Â I live in Paisley (unfortunately!) Haha
Guest GEORGE DONNELLY
Paul, whereabouts in Paisley? Â I can meet you & guide you in. Â Mate, you WILL need more than a 'nana to ride this distance over these climbs so best to stock up.
