Paul C got a reaction from Colin McPhee in Greetings from Malta!
Lovely weather here! 23 - 26 C with clear blue sky. Some steep climbs here that are murder in the heat! Rented a Corratec CCT Carbon for 3 days - very nice bike.

Paul C got a reaction from chung in Club Run Sunday 5th April - DEFINITELY!
Family commitments!!! I never put them before cycling!
Sorry to hear about your bike so near to Paris Roubaix.
I 'll be there on Sunday - weather looking good. Will not do the whole route.
Will you be able to borrow a bike?
I'll be using my summer bike.
You can use my Boardman - it has 54 cm frame (and SRAM gears)

Paul C got a reaction from chung in Club Run Sunday 29th March Aberfoyle
At Croftamie 5 of us headed back to the bridge. We decided to skip the cafe stop as were cold and damp.
Just as well cos the weather turned nasty just as I got home about 13:20.
Felt better than last week even with the substantial beer consumption of yesterday evening!

Paul C got a reaction from chung in Club Run to Troon 22 March
Chung - nae bother - saved me having to do it and you are so eloquent!
It was a very pleasant run at a steady pace! Enjoyed it (apart from the headwind back to Lochwinnoch after I split from the bunch at Howwood!)

Paul C got a reaction from james-maclaren in Highland Perthshire Challenge Saturday 30th August 2014
Hi James,
Did it 4 years ago.
I was fairly new to long distance cycling then but as I recall I did not find it too arduous. Similar to Drumlanrig.
Might do it again. They keep sending me reminders!!

Paul C got a reaction from Darryl Gunson in Tuesday (13) evening ride
Darryl,
Tuesday is my usual run into Ayrshire.
What time you leaving home?
Could meet you at traffic lights in Elderslie.
We could go long way round to Thompsons via Foxbar, Glenburn and down Neilston road.

Paul C got a reaction from AllanM in THE DRUMLANRIG TEARFUND CHALLENGE - Saturday 3rd May 2014
What a great ride!. Felt comfortable all the way round and stayed with the bunch.
Legs not even tired or stiff this evening!
Glad we kept the bunch together.
Al Y, Alan F and I proved that the old jerseys are faster downhill than the new ones! Clocked 44.7 mph on the run down to Elvanfoot.
Morning average 18.1 mph.Overall 17.0 mph - a fine run!

Paul C got a reaction from Thomsonscycles in Bagel Basket - emergency 'get you home' kit
A great gesture!
A couple of months ago I got a puncture as I rolled up at the BB. Dennis came out and mentioned that his brother/brother in law has a bike shop in Ayr or somewhere down there. He mentioned having a few bits behind the counter and I said it would be good idea.

I felt really good today.
82 miles and no sore legs - wish I had done a few extra miles now!!
That beetroot juice is brilliant (and still legal)!!

Paul C reacted to Mark O in Sunday 23rd Feb - Reliability #4 - West Kilbride
No stopping at the Bagel Basket!!!!!! It's a reliability ride. Food on offer back at Miller Street where you can fill your sidis
Bring a jeely piece in your pocket wi' a banana or two. It's only 10 miles or so more than yesterday's ride and pancake flat for the most part. I'd recommend chocolate chip muffin fingers from a large supermarket begining with T. 50p a box - 5 individually wrapped morsels. Ideal for eating in the saddle.
Rule number 5 is been played Ricardo. Stop talking yourself out of doing what is well within your ability to do.

Paul C got a reaction from Jannza in Club Kit Design - Open evening 7.30 pm Friday 31/1/14
I cannot make Frday so PM for me, please.
An idea.... since the club will be open Sunday for reliability run and there is usually good turnout how about keeping the kit designs there till then?
