Comparable to anything you will find on the continent. 2 laps of Arran between 2 ferries. Or indeed join in for 1 lap between 1 ferry, this is a significant challenge in itself - I know from painful experience ! Have studied the logistics of ferry times and bottom line is average of 19.7 mph for 108 miles for the 2 lapper. For the single loop the average required is 20mph for 55 miles. Note 2nd lap takes a shortcut but over a big hill ( The Ross! ) So an opportunity to be part of a single or double epic. Proposed date a weekend in May when there is no WOSCA race.
