To make matters worse i changed my wheels just before coming out but forgot to change the spare tube in my tool bottle so only had one with a 42 mm valve, not very good for 60mm wheels. I normally have a valve extender too but couldnt find it!
Another source (i have spies everywhere) suggests Jess held on for third, so will call it a tie with her and Stevie. Good to see Billy back winning the intermediate again, won about 75% of them last year!
To make scoring a bit easier i'm going to stop the parallel scoring and just keep kom and sprint points to wheelers, non wheelers get the point for turning up so can keep track of how many are out. Current standings

We're based in Puerto Pollenca so Sa Calobra is on the bucket list. I'm relying on Boyd for the rest Stevie.

Good grief over 30 tonight !
No luck with puncture Jan. I hope you kept your anger in check unlike some others who set a bad example
I think the results for the intermediate were Billy, Marc and the final was me, Marc, Stevie. I'm sure the guys will correct me if wrong. Stevie was in front of Jesse and me up the clune if that helps.
If you manage to remember everyone who was out then you deserve some bonus points

moderately hard into headwind along westferry with only a few of us inc Paul and Galeb doing any work.
I was pleased to finally average 300w up the Clune but then saw that John Archibald does 450w, good grief. I'll need to grow another leg, lung and ventricle.

Well, I didn’t have the best start today, notice I had a flat rear wheel (it was fine when I pumped up the tyre last night) upon picking up the bike to head out Damn, had to take the clean bike out despite the wet road this morning, oh well!
But the weather got a lot lot better as the day went on, so glad for Iain’s flexible route change & McGinty took us up a climb just after the cafe in Kilcreggan, 19.5% at the steepest point, bugger! But the view was nice though :-)
Raymond had a wee chain issue coming down into Farslane and I had my second flat on the day just coming into Balloch, first tubular puncture for me in a while. But before you can say ...... “why the heck you want to ride tubs, you silly sausage?” I had replaced it with my spare tub with a little help from Paul, James & Glen of course :-) & got going again pretty sharpish!
Left the Bunch just before the bridge & made my way home solo!
Managed my first ton on the summer bike this year, thanks for the wheels & company again today Wheelers!
P.S Mul’s Bianchi looks a million dollars, now James - go and get that F10 you’ve set you eyes on! :-) None of that titanium nonsense
Cheers

Points tonight
KOM - Bit of controversy here and a relegation for Ian after a rush of blood to the head towards the top so it was Scott / Galeb 3, Me 2...and then Stevie 1 i think?
Intermediate - Marc 2, Ian 1
Finish - Me 6, Galeb 4, Stevie 2
Overall standings...bound to have missed someone out as it was a big bunch and hard to remember everyone

Hey JuDAs, I wish you had blessed me with the power not to puncture. The sun did get blocked a bit when you passed, probably your butt.
Alan - my damage report is more psychological as I had some anger management issues when I punctured. And then I managed to blow out my cylinder. Fortunately John Craig came along and I borrowed his pump, he had punctured too !
Great night and what a turnout

Good night apart from the puncture at Gryffe. Totally wrong time going down that hill at fair rate of knots. To add to my misery my gas canister connection burst. Ended up having to call my wife to pick me up.... Not good!!!!....

2 new tyres from Ian Dooley. He assures me they are puncture proof so the season starts tomorrow.
