I'm guessing the Flanders bound chaps will be doing another monster route at the weekend. For those not heading for the Classics I'm going to propose a jaunt down to Troon. 
Usual route and cafe stops and an 09.30 start.  Post up if you fancy it.

Great day out, weather good apart from it being blustery with hail in Cardross.
Going up the rest was a penance, into a block headwind, so Couttie tells me- I was on his wheel the whole way 
cafe in Strachur then on to Dunoon and ferry. Greg (Monsieur Tourette) and Scott headed home via Greenock and the rest of us went up The Cut. Glenn & Alex turned left at the top to leave Couttie, Cedric, Charlie and I to head home via the Haylie. That must be my slowest effort ever-gubbed.
all in all a grand day out

Ah I can't make it as I have an Audax... this is very unfair as I would like to ride it but am doing something else! Can we please change it for me!

Yip u will recall that u me Paul Leavy Darryl & Alan Mclean finished at beer festival last year. We had done tak me doon. It was a glorious sunny day finished off by my niece buying us all pints as was cash only at bar. It was also my birthday so reason I remember u all owe me a pint

PBP is only 1200km my mistake... see I have already saved you 400km

Simon Simpson and I have entered the 400. Despite my previous protestations I feel tempted by the 600.

Another smashing day on the bike & great organisation by the our team of volunteers - thank you all!
Have always enjoyed this yearly event, yesterday was no exception - we even had cycling royalty Brian Smith on part of the ride, brilliant!
Also, was great to see a good turn out from our neighbouring club - Paisley Velo :-)

Just out of interest what rides are you doing for your qualifying for the PBP.
Just a we tip once you have qualified its quit along spell to the PBP make sure you do a 400 or 600 about 2 to 3 week before.
If you wish can meet you to pass on any tips I have found good for the PBP

Well looks like the plan is back on, Myself, David Cathcart and David Borland(Once he figures out the PBP Webiste) Inspired by and following in the footsteps of JWCC PBP Legend IRONMAN Campbell will attempt the 1200km ride... To be honest when we talked about it in the pub I thought they were talking about the Famous Paris Brest French dessert... Only a matter of riding a 200, 300, 400 and 600km before June, If anyone else is interested in coming and has a qualifying ride last year 300km and in a week 200km can pre-register let us know! Weirdos Welcome!
