This event is open on Cycling Time Trials website. We’ve done well in the in the past two years of the event taking place thanks to the efforts of a few bold riders ( you know who you are!) . Time to get another podium finish. Get your entries in.
I’ve entered in the Flying Scot category, so my time is unlikely to count towards a team finish, not that it would have counted anyway assuming enough of the fast boys sign up.

Good wee group of 30 milers, intermediates and main bunchers set off from Miller St. for a few gentle hours around Barmill, Beith, Lochwinnoch, and Kilmalcolm. Think we delivered on the three C’s- cake, coffee, and chat. We did get a wee bit wet, and I think a few folks turned off early (Frank? David?) but the cafe in Kilmalcolm was super - good shout @Ianarchibald. Had a good chat with the Glasgow United boys, and bumped into JWCC legend Katrina Hair.
All in all another good day on the bike.
Cheers 🍻

It’s been more than a while since I last ride out with the Joansin. So many new faces! Good to catch up with Darryl, Alan and Ian in the bunch and say hello to Chung, Carol and Mul.
Can’t say I’ll be a regular but will aim to get out once an a while.
Thanks for the company guys. Enjoyed the miles with you all this morning.

Good turnout today for the mural unveiling - after that a ride over the Crow and then a loop through Killearn and Strathblane and back to the start.
I’d like the record to state i was joint first to the top of the Crow - beating everyone else including the former Tour de France polka dot jersey winner in the process. A show of strength from Scotlands premier cycling club to the watching media.....I may have started 5 minutes before everyone else but it still counts 🤣

The track has now reopened and you have to do a reaccreditation , which will be a basic check of your track skills.
So what should you do before you attend, if you ride tubs check that the tub is still glued to the rim and the glue has not become brittle , test by trying to take the tub of the wheel, check that the tub is still attached to the lighter base part of the tub, inflate and check for cracks in the rubber , if looking iffy replace. If your tubs not glued you shouldn’t be riding on taped tubs so get them glued.
For clinchers , check that they are holding air, and that the rubber has not cracked or perished , again if looking iffy replace .
After you have completed you first visit you will be able to book a coach lead session, there will be no drop in sessions for the next few months , this means that everybody will be doing the same thing during the session, plus numbers will be limited, these sessions will develop as numbers increase .
