Galeb, you should be very worried, you are indeed straying close to Charlie territory, 2 mechanicals before you got out the door 🙄There is a critical difference though that gets you off the hook - you managed to fix them and get back mobile ….
Otherwise excellent, after BB, Emma and I did W Kilbride with a thumping tailwind back from Dalry.

 

Good ride this morning with strong headwinds in to Largs. Fast and smooth pace while sharing the workload (Arran style ). After Largs solo back for me.

Where did u guys come from. Thought Still game was a tap in for the win. Going to get Alan McLean to officiate as that will at least get rid of Galeb & Mark as they will miss their start time. Clearly the 2 Iain’s will be distracted by clothing issues.

Iain McT and I are planning to race. Last year Charlie couldn't make it so the authorities on the day decided to postpone the event until the following week. Iain was very distressed and he has only just got over it.

Checked this post earlier, and then read some of the old chain gang threads and there seems to be a common load of complaints / observations.
Why not name and shame the culprits (description of them if you don't know who they are)? 
Or better still, tell them what they are doing wrong at the time. Sometimes you don't realise what you have done until it is pointed out to you. That way the rider(s) concerned will realise the error and can amend their ways. And remember, no one is perfect, so behave like an adult if you are on the receiving end of some 'constructive criticism'. It might make you a better cyclist in the long term! 
There could be a lot more communication in the bunch, pretty much no one talks. Even the basic signals, calls that are used in every bunch ride seems to be forgotten about once a bit of effort is required.

Didn’t get to ride today, so thought I’ll do some maintenance on my bike!
But it seems I’ve ran out of bikes to clean so thought I’d have a go at my new coffee machine instead 🙂
All machine deserves some TLC in my opinion 🙂
I know coffee & road cycling have a real & historic connections, but upon opening up the “grinding mechanism” for some deep cleaning, I was met with what look not unlike a rear wheel free-hub ratchet ........ the similarity is beyond doubt 🙂 
Well, the fact that I had to use my Park-Tool 10mm socket to get the nut off & my Pedro long nose pliers felt as if I was working on one of my bikes 🙂
.......... sorry, I think I’ve got too much time on my hand 😕

If wet and horrible on Sunday I will be repeating Finlaystone Road aka Gunpowder from 0930 as part of my campaign to regain fitness for my glorious return to cx. Hard intervals. I will be riding to power rather like Chris Froome. Don't laugh. I will be there for about one hour. 
Coffee after in kilmacolm, leaving big wet patches on the seats.

That was a strangely enjoyable run. Having slept late, with an expectation of a dull turbo session, I took advantage of a less wet spell and headed off to Largs via Kilbirnie, Dalry, West Kilbride, hoping to catch the bunch there. I didn’t, so headed round the coast, and over the Clune. The weather was odd. Wet, but not soaking, and way too warm for a waterproof.
Now just sitting enjoying a well earned refreshment before heading home to clean my bike.

Yeah, well done us - always better to just get out. Nice route Davie and glad Chung made the effort to meet up in Stewarton. Will catch up with the rain dodgers another time !
