alexb
Struggling for Saturday this weekend, so looking at a route taking in Dunoon ferry, Ardentinny, Loch Eck, Loch Tarzan, Loch Riddon to Colintraive. Ferry to Bute, then Rothesay and Ferry back to Wemyss Bay and home, Miller Street for route is total of 92 miles. Driving to Gourock ferry makes it around 55. Hoping to make 0920 Dunoon ferry. Anyone up for it?

Committee Alan McLean Posted October 5, 2016 Committee Report Share Posted October 5, 2016 CX in Falkirk. Come watch JWCC dominate the V50s. Martin's paid me 20 euros to block his chasers. We'll split the primes. Only two hours from BoW. Over bridge and then follow canal all the way. Path is generally good but you'll need 28mm+ tyres after Kirkintilloch. Very scenic and interesting route even through Glasgow. Kelvin viaduct is said to be oldest in world, great views over central scotland and you go straight to Callendar Park. If you can't stand cx then splendid coffee at the wheel. Or go to Largs
Alan Michael
Alan this sounds like fun. I could bring a bell to cheer yous on lol however I don't have 28s but will work on it.

2023 Subscriptions ginty001 Posted October 6, 2016 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted October 6, 2016 no option for bigger tyres, so sticking to the roads is for me...
alexb
Just looked at Falkirk route. Over 100 miles all in and I don't have 28mm tyres either. I'm still up for ferry route with perhaps a detour to bring the mileage down to 70-80 if that's preferable. Ginty - have you any preference for route?
