Colin H
Before I submit my choices a couple of observations: Billy/Tom/Alan - You have not selected a team for the overall . Billy/Tom - I'am taking it that your team 1,2,3 choices are for the TTT?????? Richard - Wiggins DNF......sorry mate need a placing. Too easy to say DNF as the chances are higher for that than an accurate placing I will give those required to ammend their choices to 12pm tomorrow after which you can select but will be deducted 5 points from your overall So to my predictions: GC: 1st Igor Anton (Euskaltel) 2nd Brajokvic (Radioshak) 3rd Nibali (Liquigas) Mountains: 1st Dan Martin (Garmin) 2nd Igor Anton (Euskaltel) 3rd Brajokvic (Radioshak) Points: 1st Cavendish (HTC) 2nd Farrar (Garmin) 3rd Chavanel (Quickstep) Team: Movistar TTT: 1st Leopard Trek 2nd HTC 3rd BMC Cav Wins - 4 Wiggins - 5th Colin

Members Richard
Richard - Wiggins DNF......sorry mate need a placing. Too easy to say DNF as the chances are higher for that than an accurate placing The case for the defence: I don't want to say "Wiggins for nth position," when I don't actually believe he'll finish the Vuelta - the guy hasn't pedalled in anger for six weeks. Completing a three-week stage race off the back of a crash and no competition seems unlikely. DNF is one of the possible outcomes of the event, and as such, I think I should be allowed to pick it. If Wiggins does finish the race - in any position - my selection will be just as wrong as someone who plumped for the wrong placing. Your call, m'lord. Colin H
Hmmmmmmmmmm. And Scarponi, Nibali and Cav have raced in anger how many times since the tour????? Tempting as it is to side with Kenny I won't deduct 25 points but can't think of a fair way to let you away with this Richard (unless you predict the exact stage he packs on ). Afraid we need a placing Richard, so get on with it and stop Colin

DavieB
My social experiment to see how many events I can miss before Mr C overtakes me in the standings has now concluded with the emperical evidence pointing to the fact that you shouldn't take his lead when next standing in your local William Hill. Anyway time to start a Pantaniesque climb up the table with the following oddball selection. Have not really been paying too much attention up the back so not sure if it is one of the super tough Vuelta's which will have the pure sprinters, Cav amongst them, running back to their mammies mid way through the 2nd week so here goes nothing....... GC: Nibali, Anton, J Rodriquez KOM: Scarponi / Van Den Broeck (is he riding?) / J Rodriquez; Points: Friere / Bennatti (riding?) / Cav TTT: Garmin / HTC / SKY Team: Garmin Cav: 3 wins Wiggo: 7th - cueing up yet another of Brailsford's could a' been a contender speeches. Colin H
Davie, Welcome back. Both your guys are riding at this time (you never know what can happen on the way to the start line). You didn't really need to carry out an experiment......the rest of us had already figured out Mr C was useless at this Duncan, Can you clarify if Alan wants to change his points selection. Maybe I'm being dumb but can't figure out your note re Hushovd/Phinney Colin

Kenny Christie
What with my distinct lack of form and my ability to back a donkey not too mention my punditry skills now attracting derisory comments. I would like to announce my retirement form the Pro race predictor calendar. Its been emotional. My last race will be the Vuelta. I can no longer juggle the pressures of a 40+ hour week with the rigours that are demanded of me within the Pro race calender. Thank you, and good night.
