Andy, probably not me next weekend, planning to race on the SunDAy at Dunlop.

    Meantime lADs its T-13,

I think we have a stupendous chance, the team as far as I can remember is,

Alex B, hopefully the week off will cool his jets as they were burning supersonic last Thursday,
Jan Ullrich, see above, also needed as data man as I will likely lose mental function after 85 miles!
    Robbo McEwan (the climbing version!)
DArryl who will no doubt deliver a very solid performance after his 3 week intense & mixed training,
Alan McLean (one of the surviving originals along with Davie B and Fergus!
Andy Gummers (if he gets back from Swiss spa with triple filtered oxygenated schnapps)
    Mibbe James the demon climber
Colin (remember it's 7am ferry depart and remember 10mm Allen key)
JuDAs van tool (who will be finally accepted as the prodigal son if he flogs himself for the cause)
Mibeez Alan McB depending whether he is doing national next day, please Lord don't let him get a slot
    Gregg O, ditto Alan,
Mibeez Paul L and Mark O

As Director of cycling for Thursday night chain gang I hereby find that Paul Robbie Billy and myself are entitled to the bonus points. There was one post by Ian advising of " possible" roadworks and that we may have to take detour. At no time was it agreed on forum or before we set off that we " shall" take detour. Big Alex was clearly pecking as in admission was Daryl. Big Al was overcome with illness and was not thinking straight. Paul Ian & Colin were just following the wheels of McTavish & Michael and would have followed them in to river I on the other hand despite losing your wheels at roundabout manfully chased the true routers. Having lost your wheels to suck made this stretch particularly hard so can not agree your untrue route was tougher
Clearly I am above self interest and the fact that I am getting 3 extra points has no bearing whatsoever. Indeed I did consider that the 4 true routers should be the only counters for Clune and Georgetown but in true Jwcc spirit I have not gone that far. Having heard all submissions final decision to be made by Ian McTavish ( Director of Racing)and on checking my rule book this decision is final and not subject to appeal.
Apr was good but did notice that chasers were all in a line behind Alan though to be fair Daryl And Billy did most of work in our group. Also noticed that some members were in chase group when they should have been in first group but on this occasion only no disqualification

I have signed it and I urge others to do so too.  This will not solve problems overnight, but must form a part of the cycling community's continuous campaign for greater road safety through law and education.

Found a few pics of La Sufrida ( including one with Dulwich CC cyclists which will please Billy!). First one is the first climb of the day and second is the route profile and feed stations.

Your going well Andy, good to have you back
Yes jan have to agree, when I did fall back into the bunch found it hard to manoeuvre back to the front as no one was going through and bunching up just trying to stay at the back. Better to go until you pop than sit in all the way round.

9.00am at red Smiddy route is Bishy-Neatherton-West Glen-Auchentiber-Green Water-Pomillan-Torr Rd-Ranfurly-Bowfield-Loop down Bowfield-Burntshields Rd-Jonshill-Kilmacolm-Houston Rd-Houston-Barochan Road-Gleddoch Climb-Finlaystone Rd-Kilmacolm (finish). Think that's around 55ish miles from Smiddy. Hard on the hills then regroup if needed and honest pace in between should get us back with plenty of time for paisleys famous beer festival opening
