What a weekend with the Joansin family. Could not have asked for better company, weather, digs, food or cycling.
Looking forward to reliving it all when Chung gives us his full account of the weekend and others sharing their pics and stories.  Thanks to all for making it such a memorable event. Same time next year, I hope.
PS yes I'm biaised, but Jets were the best drilled bunch in Flanders.

Chaingang starts up this week - due to daylight for the first few weeks meeting at 6pm at the bus stop usual place.
In the past on the way out along the Georgetown we've had a chilled start and ridden 2 abreast more like a club ride. Which is enjoyable however when the through and off starts at the red smiddy the pace picks up and is hard immediately. This means newcomers may not get much experience because with the fast pickup in speed it may only be one or two rotations before it becomes difficult to hang on (which in turn makes it difficult to learn and improve). So i propose we start riding as a chaingang from the start but at an easier speed and then from the red smiddy pick it up progressively and that will help everyone get the basics right. It is a training ride so this doesnt mean easy pace it should start to feel harder but the group should ideally not be splitting before Bishopton. Full gas from the top of Bishy Hill.

Points will be how it finished last year - Top 5 for the KOM  and top 5 for the sprint. This means more opportunities to get some points and should keep things closer at the top. Will be a winner for each month.
(KOM is 5,4,3,2,1 and sprint is 6,4,3,2,1).
The Flanders bound guys will be pleased to hear the first week is a practice run.

Thanks to Ian for timekeeping and holding. Some great times there by McTavish, Kelly and Tennant, who oddly enough have 20, 15 and 10 points respectively.
I am currently heading up the V60 leaderboard.
I also have transferred £12 to the club account, with Stuart to pay double at the next event.
Also good to meet up with Sam and Paul L. on the way back.
A wee bit disappointed at Bernie's café in BoW, service was all over the place.

a cold blustery day for the Hilly TT... Scores on the doors.. Some fine times, well done to all the riders on a tough day, especially new guy Tommy who went off first and immediately suffered a snapped chain, a quick fix of the chain and then went back off at the end with his chain jumping all over the place for the whole ride
Tommy (new guy)  -  36.43 PB
    Alan T -  29.26
    Stuart  -  27.44
    Mark K -  26.20
    Iain McT -  25.58
Think the monies were collected by Alan... forgot to ask if any PB's , please post up if there is. I know Tommy's will be as it's his first TT in 30 yrs.
Not sure what the points allocation is, please post this up Alan...

Can’t be long till first qualifying ride?
    First PBP top tip.
One week before my first qualifying ride I would always replace all brake & gear cables, chain & rear sprocket. Then I would be using it to & from work for that week to get the gears set up & fine-tuned.
It would also be set up with what lights I will be using. Water bottle cages. Bags I use a rack & a rear rack bag of a suitable size that will expand & take all your clothes when its warm during the day. This way you get the feel of the bike.
The qualifying rides are when you fine tune what you are going to take for cloths I would have with me
The comfiest pair of shoes, Socks, thin longs, shorts, vest t-shirt, short sleeved top jwcc, arm warmers, Gilet, light weight long sleeved top, thin water proof (yellow in my opinion), thin skull cap, helmet & fluorescent yellow vest for night riding & if wet (this is the law in France) fingerless mitts & full gloves Autumn. One spare pair of shorts.
It may sound daft but you do not wish chafing so make sure your clothes fit well. Once sorted out I would only use these clothes for Audax or long training rides.

    Yeah enjoyable night
Didnt have the best of seasons results wise. Probably the worst drop off in results of any regular in the history of the track league - fell about 100 places in the table! But still the best way to spend a wednesday night in the winter

Well done to Cedric for winning the overall!

Track league over for another year, good night to end in C group and Jan in B group showing some flashes of his last winter form.
In C's we had good JWCC presence with Sam 3rd in devil and 2nd in points. In the first scratch race we got a 1,2,4 with me getting the win and Sam and Stevie in p3 and p4. In the other scratch I was 3rd.
Roll on Arran challenges and Thursday night chain gangs

Just throwing this out there?? Local hills, all groups out. Paris Roubaix coverage starts at 11am on Eurosport so maybe an earlier start. Maybe the committee could contact our sponsor see about some food? Maybe some deal a drink and pasta for £10  Guaranteed Sun, Beer and big screen on the Patio or my name isnt Roger De Vlaeminck.
Route could be the 10 hardest hills in the area... ??
My pick would be Hazelwood Road(Hell)

Some route ideas.... 1400m climbing over about 90km featuring three 5* secteurs
    https://www.strava.com/routes/17635604
And the route without the 5* parts for those who are too soft
