Seven riders on a warm but blustery evening: 8mph WNW at Bishopton weather station. The results in the order the riders set off:
Gerard - 19:07
Lusia - 20:21
Paul L - 18:27
Alan T - 17:44
Iain Couttie - 17:06
Alan McB - 16:08
Iain C - 17:22
Well done, everyone, on a night that was probably harder than it looked. PBs for Paul and Lusia. Cracking time from Alan. I don't think a Wheeler has been that quick over the Georgetown since Jim D.
All adults who were meant to pay have paid. I'll transfer £15 to the club account later.

GrahamF reacted to chung in Saturday 30th May Run - Coulport / Kilcreggan
Excellent day on the bike again today with fairly good weather & smashing company!
I counted 10 in the bunch - ROBBIE, Al, Alex, Campbell, Charlie, Darryl, Iain67, Iain G, Des (our guest rider on the day) & myself met & set off from the bridge this morning under decent weather but with a some what breezy headwind on the way out. Des suffered a puncture just before Helensburgh but was quickly fixed, at this point a glad but cursing Greg Balden appeared, apparently he was just a few minutes late in getting to the bridge and found we had gone so gave a purposeful chase, well done, good effort!
Onwards & upwards, all the way round the peninsula following our proposed route. A smashing decent into Coulport was enjoyed by all, a quick blast along the coast road was rewarded with the usual high standard of grub/service at the cafe in Kilcreggan. Watered & fed, we continued onto our final ascent of the day - Glen Fruinn on a sunny day is always a good one!
Campbell, Big Al & myself left the bunch just before the bridge staying this side of the river so making our way to the westend for our SECOND cafe in Siempre :-) More coffee/tea & cakes with a lot of blether finished the day off in fine style :-)
Thanks for everyone today for the wheels & company, I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope everyone did too!
Hopefully more of the same in the coming months.
P.S Apologies if I've missed anyone that was out today!
Cheers

GrahamF reacted to chung in SUNDAY 26th Club Run - LBL :-) Langbank - Brisbane - Largs
Well, the mash-up "LBL" today certainly had the making of the original - weather wise at least anyway!
A very decent bunch size of 10 of AlanT, AndrewD, Bill T, Boyd, David C, Emma, Iain JanUlrich, Paul C, Rennie & myself headed out from the clubroom this morning that was rather cold & windy but at least the sun was out occasionally, so can't complain too much.
Keeping to our planned route but no sign of Dr. McLean along Bishy or Westferry, hope you're ok Alan?
As we turned inland after Port Glasgow onto the climb up to Loch Thom, we caught the folks doing the Lochwinnoch 100. Never have I seem so many cyclist heading up the climbs, even though it was a mixture of road machines & mountain bikes.
Splendid view along the way to the top but the wind was fairly blowing, at this point we were ambushed & caught by Campbell H (who seemed to came out from no where to surprise us) The wind made hanging about not feasible hence a quick decent down to Largs for a warm shelter in the BB, where upon Graham was already waiting for us tucking into his orders :-)
Back up to West Kilbride at least with a sort of tail wind made it better but hail in Dalry was not pleasant at all, apologies to folks for my lack of directional clarity at this point, which meant we had to do an un-necessary wee detour, oops!
Anyway, all back home safely (I hope) and with great company & roads, it was very enjoyable for me today. Hope it was the same all round.
Thanks for the wheels guys & girl and hope to see youse next week if I can't get an entry into doing the Drumlanrig on Saturday.
Cheers
