    Cracking day indeed.
    Well drilled bunch,  thanks chaps.
Thats how the main bunch should be.

Gutted I missed that soup, waited all week for it. Cakes? Missed those home-made bad boys also.
    Cheers folks.

9pm bunch about 20?? 7 Jets giving a lesson on how to ride your bike... Golfers/Runners take notes. Never saw the 9.30 bunch until soup time which was Delicious thanks Sarah and Greg! Rumors were the 9.45 were masquerading as the 9.30s as some 9.30s hide in the 9.00??? next week im in the 9.15 group;) Great ride today

Outstanding run in the 9.00 bunch this morning. Decent pace, without blowing anyone out too much. Good to see a small group of disciplined riders maintaining the pace and working together, er, that would be the Jets.
Tremendous and very welcome soup, thanks to Sarah, and Greg as well I suppose.

It was a bit wet during the middle part of the ride but we set out dry which is always a good thing and returned with skies brightening.
Even my flat 2 miles from Miller Street didn't dampened my enjoyment of the ride.
Soup was excellent. Cheers Greg and Mrs Greg

    I'm in.

I can provide the morning opening and Sarah ( the Mrs) can open up and heat up some soup.

I can also commission a pot of Nana's magic soup, with a little chili, if this suits most?

Votes on a post card, please.

Finally, what sort of time does said soup be required to be hot?

Just when I had completed the negotiations for some of Mrs. T's curried parsnip and apple soup too. Still it'll do next week.
I would guess back at the clubroom between 12:30 and 1.

Indeed a cracker, but that wind and my LACK of fitness made for a torrid time.

Thanks to all the chaps for the pacing up the Brisbane Glen, and ultimately waiting at the summits!!

Can't believe Kinky boots Donnelly missed the roll out to his own ride! 3 week ban on posting rides!

Tough windy day but got a little glow of satisfaction now that I’m sitting in front of the fire with a beer.
Thanks to Charlie, with his vast experinace in mechanicals (and impatience) took over to change my tube tout suite.  Only to nip the new tube so end up with 2 punctures but the bunch had already disappeared up the road before I’d set off.
Cut to me with a 2nd puncture doing a Fromey’ running up Fairly Moor as they disappeared over the hill.  I was actually running and pushing the bike faster than we had been cycling it!  And then you couldn’t make it up as one of Charlie’s ‘customers’ drove by and said “do you know Charlie McCusker he’s a Johnstone Wheeler?” and then kindly sped off to flag him down.  McC turned back and gave me a 2nd tube, which again he speedly swapped, to perfection, saved the day and all was ok with the World.
The thing I took from this is what I love about the bunch.  When things aren’t going well and you are in the proverbial it’s good to know that there are people there that you can fall back on to dig you out of it when needed.  Cheers lads.

Something horrible happened to my legs going up the Fairlie and didn't really fancy putting myself in a position where I could not get home. Good run and I'm pretty sure a grace period was observed. The route was improved with George MIA, well done all who got round.

Gutsy performance from Greg I hate hills Balden.George we did give you grace and rolled out after 9.32. 30 milers where still there when we left. Sorry to hear about your mishaps today.
