stuart10ant got a reaction from Cedric in Chatelherault 24th Feb
First go at the CX today, dug out my 10 year old kit, last worn about 2 stone ago and decided my tactic would be start at the back and try my hardest to stay there.
A bit apprehensive I stayed near the rear of the race to begin with, and soon found myself pegging back some places.
Just as i thought it was all going well, the race got fairly strung out, with the fast group miles ahead, there were no more targets.
Around the 40 min mark Cedric came flying past to lap me with apparently no effort.
The dismount needs a bit of work, coming to a stop to get back on, apparently isnt the mist time efficient.
Got to the finish with no crashes and not in last place, a resounding success!
Well done to Cedric who i believe won by a country mile on a warm sunny day.

Fellow members, I have attached the draft confined event calendar for 2019. Please note that all events may be subject to change depending on road conditions and clashes with open events.
Please also note that we are still looking for people to be listed as organisers for the Don Smith, Jim Daly and Sam Dooley events.
Anyone who would like to hold their hand up for this should pm me

stuart10ant reacted to gregbalden in Sunday 30th Dec - Glen fruin
Last day off for me, proposing a run along the clyde to Helensburgh and then up the fruin.
Re-group at the top ( waiting for me), into Balloch via arden roundabout and duck bay. Cafe in Balloch, home the usual route.
Options to extend down some coast, once back on the south side of the Erskine bridge for those festive mentalist.
930 clubrooms. 10 at the bridge.

stuart10ant reacted to martin in Lusia Steele selected for BC Senior Academy
Yep, Kenny and Susan's wee Lusia has just taken a major step up. After a fantastic summer with 2 British Champs jerseys and PB's at the junior World Championships and Euro Championships she has been selected to the sprint squad at senior academy.
The Jets will miss her coaching skills at Linwood and Miller Street mind.
Huge congratulations to all in team Steele.
