Guest GEORGE DONNELLY
Oops. Does anyone know this course? I imagine it starts at Peesweep & heads away from paisley. Does it follow the road round to the left then turn on to the sargeantlaw road at the top of the wee hill? Where from there?
Guest GEORGE DONNELLY
Got a call from Billy about the course. Details are on the Ivy website. Looks like it goes all the way down the Sargeantlaw and comes out on Glennifer Road just below the hotel. Well dodgy, in my opinion. It's gonna be a mad scramble to get to the front down the Sargeantlaw and it's hella steep down onto Glennifer Road. Training wheels fitted. Guest GEORGE DONNELLY
Guys, I went for a cycle round the course tonight. Despite what the race brochure says its ok. Glennifer Road is smooth, the Sargeantlaw is, on the whole, ok. There are some potholes & bumps but they are on the uphill bits so shouldn't lead to you falling off at high speed. If the rain keeps up you will end up manky tho. The last bit of the descent is very fast but quite smooth. The sharp corner at the bottom should be taken with care but isn't bumpy & the camber at the junction with glennifer road is fine. You even get a wee slingshot up the hill provided you don't get stopped by a marshal. Good luck!

Richie Cross
What this race like for watching? Is it closed roads? Was thinking of catching the hill a few times then making it to the finish line but didnt know if this would be possible? Cheers good luck to our racers
