Guest EPCC
Not closed roads you can watch from the car park or from the building on the left
Richie Cross
Cheers Billy. How far is the hill from the finish? What's the best protocol? Wait til the bunch goes past on the hill then follow round to the finish line to catch them on the next lap? And how long should it take? Cheers
Guest EPCC
Richie 7 laps not sure where finish line is guess it will be at the lodge which will take about 10 mins your biggest problem will be the riders behind the main group could be fairly strung out So you might have to dash between groups Should last about two hours 15 mins
Richie Cross
Excellent. Cheers
Guest GEORGE DONNELLY
Richie, it's 6 laps. There's a couple of wee hills on the sargeantlaw that you can watch from too. Quite a few roads cut across from sargeantlaw to Glennifer Road so you can nip back & forth.
Richie Cross
and thanks to you too Geo Well, hallawrerr china! Where is the main hill? I know where the foot of the Sargeantlaw is, I think...just where you would go left to take you down into Johnstone? Edit: ok, I was wrong but I'll work it out from the map. Guest EPCC
Richie The main climb is the road up to the braes to get there if coming up through Johnstone head up by the quarry / golf range at Johnstone castle go up the hill turn left follow road turn left and follow road you go by the glenifer braes car park you will see a lot from there and it's not far from the end

Richie Cross
Ok, as much as I enjoy dressing up, thankfully I read the Ivy website and saw the race is on Sunday and not Saturday! On Sunday...I'll be riding my bike! Good luck anyway!!

Guest Ross Toole
Cycled up completely soaked didn't even get to the end of the drive of lapwing lodge to be told it was canceled, about turned and rolled back down for a bath. 10 miles in the bank and have to clean my bike again! Was looking forward to it! Fry-up time. Darryl Gunson
Guest GEORGE DONNELLY
Yep. Drove up to be told the same. Waterlogged roads. Disappointed as after initially feeling ill when I opened the curtains I had got myself up for it. Big bowl of porridge & pint of beetroot juice for nothing. Still, I was back home in 5 mins while Ross had to trudge home in the rain. Hahahahahahahaha :) :) Charlie never turned up so I'm claiming the points 1-

Colin McPhee
Was all porridged up and raring to go - thankfully had guessed weather was going to be rubbish so took advantage of a lift up from the missus hence avoiding a soaking. Turbo and hill climbing sessions for me.
