Point of order: I suggested this as an alternative to the Largs

run. In no way shape or form is an 80-100 mile ride of up and

down a "delight" for me.

After you lot get back from Italy I'll be posting club rides up

and down the cycle path for the rest of the year. :-?

I'm up for a run to Aberfoyle, various routes to be considered. I did a run to Aberfoyle tale end of the summer with Al Yuille and Ferenze John (met Richard on the return journey) can't remember the full route but could refer to a map of the area and come up with something. I do know we went through Drymen on the way out and returned along the main road.

I'll have a look at the map and see if I can't come up with something.

Mark,

Does the route start from the clubroom or do we have to drive to a certain point first?

I'll go with Paul and require a cafe stop for myself & others if possible.

P.S did you get my note on the Michelin Pro-Race 2 tyres. (please refer to post for yesterday's run)

Chung Paul

I am not out but usual club run rules apply so fill your boots or stomach.

The only reason for not wanting a stop on Sunday was time constraints and ferry waiting

YES!

Proposed route -

09.00 clubroom depart and strike out for bridge for 09.30 in usual way.

A choice then of heading to Jameston and doing some minor roads via Auchincarroch to Croftamie or across to Duntocher and do the A809 thru Stockiemuir to Croftamie. Then onto and thru Drymen for more minor roads thru Dalmary and Gartmore and onto Aberfoyle. Return along main road A81 to Milngavie, the Bridge and Miller Street

Cafe stop at Aberfoyle.

I've ridden the Jameston route once before but not at all certain of it. If someone does then fair shout. My preference would be to go via Stockiemuir - nice climb to view point, but will go with maj. view. Post up preferences re the route otherwise its Stockiemuir and the view point climb. Pace will be usual for sunday bunch - brisk but conversational. Usual mechanical and regroup rules apply.

Looks like the internet gremlins have been at this thread as well!!

Mark - I will meet you at PH at 08:20, can you bring the chain tool with you as it is esssential emergency kit for long runs as last weekend proved.

Am a bit undecided if I will stay out for the duration if the much touted "heatwave" is as intense as it is today but will at least get youse a bit of the way.

Cheers,

D

Due to the pull of extraneous forces I will definitely not make it 2moro.

I will be attending another titanic sporting event.

Hope you all have a good one & I'll be back to guide my flock next week.

The Hincapie.
