  1. Why exactly is a club run going at race pace? Who are you racing?
  2. I thought you were about to say you had arrested him !!!
  3. George, with service like that surely the bike shop needs a name check ?!?!
  4. Richard, cheers for the wee wave just outside of Bishopton!
  5. The whole road from Bowfield for the next half mile needs resurfaced. Going up, you have to weave all over the road to avoid the ruts and holes. Going down is just plain dangerous on two wheels.

Sorry to hear that, Chung. The only positive thing is that at least you weren't too far from home. Could have been a lot worse I suppose.

No mention of a cafe stop? What's wrong with you, Chung??? Forecast doesn't look too good so I'm doubtful.
  8. Sounds good! I'm wondering what happens if someone punctures or a mechanical of some sort. Should the group wait or just plough on to keep the average speed on track?
  9. Crow Road then Tak Me Doon or vice versa. 65 miles (roughly).
  10. Sounds good. May give it a go. Did you do it last time,Alan?
  11. For sale : 1 unreserved seat for Saturday's daytime qualifying session. Doors open 09:15 £10
  12. Aye, decent run today. The fun stopped for me as soon as I returned. I was handed a shopping list and despatched to Asda. Boooo!!!
  13. I will be there if I can find some Sellotape...!
  14. Richard, remember Celtic are playing at home tomorrow, so allow additional travelling time.
  15. Billy that is fine. You asked for opinions, so I gave mine. We don't all have to agree, that is the beauty of forums such as this one. As I said, I'm not looking for big miles in winter so I will either bail out or do my own thing. No big deal. I know one certain other club posts their runs on a Thursday evening and nobody moans or complains about 'lacking insight'...
  16. Not sure how you can plan on upping the miles to 80 in January when we could have a brutal winter. Anyway, i'm only looking for about 50-60 miles in the winter so will probably bail early if or when i go.
  17. Always good to ride on roads I haven't been on before. Pity about the rain early on. Hope everybody made it home safe and sound.
  18. Richard,It's ok with me to do any route or variation. Chung, if it's just the 3 of us, I can meet you both at bridge and it will save us going to Johnstone? I'm hoping to stay dry too...
  19. I'm in! The good thing is that you can always jump on the train at Gourock!!!
  20. If we are possibly changing the supplier and design, maybe we should change the club name to the 'Johnstone NoHillers' !! It would suit a few characters.
