Paul C
Apologies to the bunch who waited at Bishopton for me to appear. For some reason it took 20 minutes for Mark's voicemail to reach me - technology eh!! I had turned left after the bridge cos my legs were knackered and just wanted flat easy pedal home. Leg condition not helped by the fact that I hadn't noticed that I had a broken spoke at the back and and my brakes had been rubbing for several miles!! Thanks to Darryl for whipping out his multi-tool and slackening off my cable. I was wondering why i felt so sluggish - it wisnae me - it was the bike (at least that's my excuse anyway!) Got home and gulped down a choccy-flavoured recovery drink closely followed by an ice-cold can of lager. Met Charlie in Lochwinnoch as I was almost home who said 'Paul, you have lost weight' not surprised after that run!!

Mark O
Paul, glad you got home safely. When you didn't answer my call we went on the basis you were still moving therefore no further mechnical. For those, working, footie watching (Hincapie you're a jinx on a Sunday), tile shopping (sincerest sympathies Ian) or just didn't get out, best day of the year so far weatherwise - bare legs and arms a bound. Good run too with some nice climbs. Ran out of steam on way home - hadn't eaten enough. Cheers for the escort over the last few miles Davie. Discovered 2 bits of cake lurcking in my pockets when I got in. Daresay had I found them earlier I'd have been fine. M
Life Members chung Posted March 25, 2012 Life Members Report Share Posted March 25, 2012 Lovely run today with the bunch all the way to Aberfoyle from the bridge for me with a brilliant cafe stop in glorious sunshine in MARCH. Sorry for jumping ship after that cause the opportunity to ride round Loch Katrine in such splendid weather was too good to miss. I've kind of forgotten how good the Dukes Pass is as a climb having only done it once a long time ago! Hopefully the weather will stay like this till we go to Italy! Paul, hope you get your bike sorted without too much trouble. Maybe it's a call for you to get something new & even shinlier for Italy. Cheers Chung
