2024 Subscriptions Darryl Gunson Posted July 1, 2011 2024 Subscriptions Report Share Posted July 1, 2011 Buon pomeriggio It's probably a bit early for thinking about next year, but in an idle moment I came across the Nove Colli - Marco Pantani Details are here http://www.novecolli.it/home.php?lang=eng This is the kind of thing that I had in mind when the subject has been raised. Comments anyone. Who might be on for this? Grazie, ciao Darrylo Gunsoni

Richie Cross
Love the idea of a sportive, especially in Italy. Admittedly, I'm drawn to the shorter distance so I don't know if that would make it a waste of time...travelling with the Joansin but not riding with them Oh....and I'd have to get time off work! Ciao
Administrators Jannza Posted July 9, 2011 Administrators Report Share Posted July 9, 2011 I have experience of travelling with the Joansin but not doing the event! It was great fun and would be up for this too

Richie Cross
Hi folks, Some info re this event from another forum. Prices etc are mentioned further down. Seems you can book a package through a local hotel where the owner arranges all your registration etc. Would just be a flight on top of that and it would depend on how many nights you stay before the event on the Sunday. http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... t=12776423
Richie Cross
Hi folks, Sorry for jumping onto Darryl's suggestion but as I was curious about this I've had a look into it via the bike radar link and I've contacted http://www.hotelbeausoleil.it/ and had an e-mail from the greatly named Dante Delvecchio. He owns the hotel and is also part of the organisation for the Nove Colli so he arranges all the entry stuff and also has private feed stops away from the masses at the other ones. Looks like we have until November to decide who, if any, wants to do this. That's when the registration opens. New hotel prices come out in November but Dante imagines it would be 58-62 euros per person per day for half board and registration for the Nove Colli should be about 65 euros. If we were staying for about 3 days, arriving Fri and leaving Mon, we would be in a hotel annex about 150m from the main place but you have access to everything. Stay for 5 or 6 days and you're in the main hotel. He can also arrange transfers from Bologna or Rimini. Some flight timetables don't go that far so the only price is with British Airways (might be better for the bikes and you can leave from Glasgow) and the return would come in at £163. That for Glasgow - Gatwick - Bologna. So, a while to go yet but I like the look of that. Dante says he will contact me nearer the time

2024 Subscriptions Darryl Gunson Posted September 13, 2011 Author 2024 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 13, 2011 Dear All As a start, could we have a show of hands as to who is up for some Italian fun, next May? l'll look into flights and other stuff when I come back from holiday. In the meantime, have a look at the original link and Ritchie's posts above. This does not rule out Martin's proposal to ride Liege-Bastone-Liege. You could so both! Cheers Darryl

Richie Cross
Another vote for Italy from me but saying that, if there were Wheelers doing 2 or 3, I'd look at them all because one might be better than the other for work etc.
