2023 Subscriptions martin Posted January 14, 2011 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted January 14, 2011 Here's the route for the traditional Sinclair Street Reliability run (58 miles) http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united-ki ... /470500325 Note that this has a cheeky wee extra loop once we get back over the bridge to Renfrewshire. No need to do this on Sunday, which means it's about 50 or so from Miller St: Miller St. Anyone wanting to add the miles on could always chum Tom home to Langbank, of course. M PS Kenny Steele, what's a reliability run? Is this year's calendar fixed yet?

DavieB
I'm good for Sunday, albeit the increasingly popular shorter run! Davie, 8.40 on the track as previously. No snow or ice this weekend at last, might feel positively tropical. M See you there .... Davie

Committee Alan McLean Posted January 16, 2011 Committee Report Share Posted January 16, 2011 What a great day out with twenty riders in total. Nine split off in Helensburgh to do the big ride and ten of us headed up Sinclair St and home. You could have tracked us by following the trail of discarded chain links from David T as his Shimano chain disintegrated. David claimed he didn't believe in the special links but we all begged to differ and finally forced him onto the train at Alexandria. David, try: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-super-n ... hain-pins/ Twenty riders in total because we met the mighty Bill Thomson lurking at the north end of the bridge hoping for some company home. He claimed to have done the whole route ahead of us but Martin thinks that he was hiding all morning, troll-like under the bridge, ready for a tow back to Renfrewshire. Warm and almost sunny. Roll on spring. A

2023 Subscriptions gregbalden Posted January 16, 2011 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted January 16, 2011 I'll second that Billy, it was a belter of a ride, all day spent on the bike, and 86 miles for the 3 from bridge of weir, door to door. 2023 Subscriptions P McDonald Posted January 16, 2011 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted January 16, 2011 Today was brilliant - it must have been November the last time we were out on bikes without being either freezing or soaking. 95 miles from Lochwinnoch and even more for Glengarnock PMcD
Kenny Christie
I had around 75 miles at the end of play and my legs are well aware of it. I think the vet from Glengarnock (just kidding ) wins the longest run trophy today! Chapeau Davie. More of the same next week?
DavieB
Aye Kenny ... a shade over 100 miles, or to put it another way about 60 miles short of Flanders . In breaking news I may be looking to move house as it is the 2nd week in a row I have had to solo back with Paul McD an experience that would make an interesting Sufferfest video Excellent run and hope to get out on SATURDAY next week. Would just like to say thanks to my team of domestiques who took turns to see me home when my legs packed in. Thankfully we ONLY had 40 miles or so to go
