Not used to this hard work! Fell of the back twice after so many efforts, downside of a smaller bunch always surging forward it seemed. Result was a couple of high tempo solo runs TT -style!
Bad luck James but pleased to learn Mrs S was on hand with the recovery vehicle.
Was a good dry evening for the bike.

Ended with double puncture just after Kilmacolm. My spare tube valves were too short for rims!!!! Thats what happens when you assist the JW and you get short tubes back as a replacement LOL. Had too get my wife to pick me up.
Good night all the same

James reacted to PaulL in Promotion of Runs
It would be great if we had a central place to post runs that all members have access too? Yes! It's called the Bunch Forums
People are on holidays, weather or insert lame excuse here Well, hallawrerr china! are main reasons why people can't make or don't show up on runs, Billy has done a great job of posting runs for a long time and sometimes it falls apart. Some of my suggestions below
1. Post runs to help Billy out, he does a great job(mostly)
2. Post if you are coming
3. If you post a run you should show up at very least
4. Don't counter post on a run because you want to do something else, PM the original poster if you want a change of route
5. Don't post if you are not coming because its wet, it makes you look weak
6. If you are part of one of the many JWCC Sunday splinter cells that's cool, But does it help build the club? this includes me
7. Cross posting on Strava, Facebook, Social Media etc. is great but the forum should be the original source of Club Rides as that's were we direct all members new and old
Again first world problems, post and ride

Probably worth getting a practice run around the route??

That Bunch Ian??? Luckily no-one landed on top of me they were laughing so hard! To be fair when Couttie crashed at same corner I barely stayed upright with laughter so no complaints there.
All ok. Parts already ordered for bike. See about getting wheel fixed this week.
Left knee very sore, bruising around left foot, right leg cut to bits (including under shoe???), left side of face looks well slapped and a couple of wee cuts, ass scraped, and left arm and shoulder scraped. Felt okish afterwards but steadily stiffening up. Nothing broken, and no clothing torn! Result!!!
Red wine helping!

Nice wee ride this morning, fairly standard track/Haylie/Largs/Brisbane route - rarely anything other than enjoyable, as is the BB cafe stop!
Alex completed an acrobatic display and now joins IainC and PaulL of Wheelers visitors to the gorse bush on the golf course descent from Loch Thom, ouch!

Aye enjoyed that tonight, to be fair to everyone I think the wind plays a part with people trying to get out of it quicker causing surges.
Think that's the first sprint I've ever won 😆
Cheers men

Good night apart from the rain, and the mud 😈 Now been given lines by the head master I have to write I must not surge 3 billion times
Didn't think I was 😇

Well that was quick!
Not particularly enjoyable, but strangely enjoyable at the same time...if that is even possible.
I was relegated from the bunch as we left bishy.
Stevie and Mr provision ( not sure of your name, sorry!) caught me, so i suggested a finlaystone short cut so we could all enjoy another kicking. Peeled off at houston and that was me!!
See you in 6 weeks laugh ðŸ˜.... OR sooner if I get my self in gear!!
Nb. Training fortnightly doesn't work.

Thanks to Alan and Ian for time keeping and holding up. Richard gave me my change so I am squared up.
Well done to Richard, Billy, Gerard in PB's. Some great times tonight. It was hard into that wind on way back

I can think of a few!
Cheers to McGinty and Alan T. Much appreciated.
Great efforts all round from the gents on bikes. Nice to see everyone taking advantage of a good night.
I found two quid in my rucksack for James. He's all squared up. Gerard paid twice, so I'm going to transfer 12 quid to the club account, which includes my dues. I think that's right - I hope that's right!

It was a great night to be out and my steady effort has paid off. Well done to James, Billy and Richard on your times. Also the biggest of thanks to Alan and Ian for officiating and letting us ride on such a fast night.

Some excellent times on a warm, sunny evening.
Gerrard 23:15, PB, paid
James, 23:18, PB, paid
Billy, 22:06, PB
Richard, 20:47, PB
James is actually owed £2 as I didn't have change, and Richard will be transferring the money to the club account.
Well done all on a clean sweep of PBS.
I'll post the results up tomorrow night.

James reacted to Gerard Deeley in Sunday 23 Where to go ?
Is this post ride refreshment becoming a 'thing' now? Maybe we should all add on a couple hours to our ETA.
