Think Kronoman has got his meds mixed up.

You will NEVER beat me in a TT.

If you even dream that you do I demand you wake up & apologise.

Couttie, I will destroy you in the Westferry 25.

it's funny how timekeepers only get your time wrong if they say you were slower than you'd hoped....

Has anyone ever asked the timekeeper to add a minute to their time?

I rode a 25 TT back in the 1990s and did an unspectacular time. So bad that I left before the prize giving. The timekeeper had me down as 3rd place &, much to my embarrassment, my name was in next day's Glasgow Herald.

Had to phone up the organiser when my cheque came through the post & tell him I was 7 minutes slower than he thought I was.

Well done Iain, a great ride! Billy, from your Garmin file your time is spot on, started your effort at 24:50, finished at 1:26:45, it already has been adjusted 😄

Just the 4 of us tonight. All got stuck in along the Westferry, to the extent I think we were knackered by the time the clune came.

A fatigued (I think that's what he said£ Charlie chucked it at BOW, leaving Jan, Couttie & myself to hammer it along the Georgetown where the unthinkable happened & I won the sprint or rather Jan conspired to lose it.

Either way a flawless victory for good looks & panache over brawn & ability

Aye bad luck Iain especially when you have good form. Was a fairly typical race and the circuit was really good. the drag out of Kilmaurs was the main challenge and it seemed the neutral zone passing of this drag was the hardest in the race!
I was able to stay near the front ok except on the drag when I drifted back to meet Colin drifting forward. Was quite a few breaks in the race but only really one that looked a serious threat to the yellow jersey that Alan was wearing as leader of the WOSCA series. It was my duty to muster the bunch to chase it back and it actually worked fine we caught them pretty quick when we got to it.
I had Alan on my wheel in the habble to the last corner which was an important point to be in first 10 as it was a tailwind rip to the line from there. Unfortunately he got caught in the melee after the corner.
Scorecard at end of day was me 16th, Alan 22nd, Colin 26th.
Good for Scottish cycling to see a podium that were ages with my daughters.

Sorry, Charlie but I can only manage a long ride one day this weekend and although I enjoy your company the thought of a ride in glorious sunshine on Saturday appeals more than your jabbering on in the hosing rain on Sunday.

    I'll start a new thread....

Very tough evening for a 10 on the A77.

Couttie fastest of the JWCC Kronos Squadra. Think he did a 25:09 then me with a 25.27 (rubbish I know but my fastest on A77 this year so taking heart from that) Billy did a 25:59 then Mike with a 26:??.

Not one to gloat as it goes against my Corinthian spirit & really just isn't cricket but one does believe that makes it 5-0 to Donnelly this year.

Mcdonald really will have to up the ante. Just to keep it interesting I'm willing to make this weekend's 50 double points.

Best get the bicarbonate out again, Billy

No luck Billy. You need to bin that chainset, methinks.

I was up at 4:30am for a drive to the start in Freuchie!

Have to say it really is a lovely course but certainly not conducive (to me) for a fast time. It's very rolling & there were some hard headwind stretches although I felt so good for the first 8 miles that I never noticed the headwind.

Of course it wouldn't be right if I didn't have a wee mishap-at 8 miles my aero super sleek water bottle bounced out of its cage & into my computer sensor which in turn jammed into my wheel. Thump Thump Thump-I had to stop & pull the sensor into place. The bottle was never seen again. From talking to Mike at the finish he had the same problem.

I had to rush off at the finish so don't know my exact time but I clocked a 2:12:58 on my Garmin so it'd likely be about that. My target was 2:10 so maybe I'd be in the ballpark on a faster course without bits falling off. I did the last 25 miles in 1:00:40 so finished strong despite the brutal headwind.
