That's spookey greig I was just asking after you today, I am sure I speak for every one when I say good luck and we will miss your wit and enthusiasm for cycling. I hope you get your enthusiasm back, puberty does strange things to you.

Weather not nearly as bad as expected but the wind was a challenge especially in the crosswind sections which were just plain horrible. Race average of 24.7mph tells its own story, whilst I was never actually full eyeballs out it was consistently fast. There were a lot of small breaks but none got more than 30s. I found myself in a break of 5 but it was the wrong time before a crosswind section when I knew everyone would speed up and was worried we would get passed and drop straight oot the back. We were duly pegged back after a few miles. Of the 80 riders in the champs race, 52 listed as finishing, I ended up 23rd in the front bunch. Uphill sprints are just not my thing but hey ho its the same for everyone.
Chapeau to Charlie and Andy in the support race, especially Andy who got a top 10, should be well pleased with that Andy.
This was useful training for Arran

Managed a 23.40, the laugh is they made a mistake with my time and gave me a 21.40 you should have seen big alls face it was a picture!
I have to say it did feel faster than 23.40.
It's only 2 min so should manage to knock that off for next week.
So al you better watch your heels!

iain couttie got a reaction from Thomsonscycles in Mount tidie
Finally got up the hill today, back Sunday so just in time, it's not all it's cracked up to be ,long slog 2200 mtrs so not a lot of climbing compared to Majorca . Bloody cold at the top though, 7 degrees. You just cycle up and then come down again, an hour and a half not pedaling gets boring. Met a Glasgow green rider half way up. He dropped me after a few miles.
Worth doing but not any more exciting than doing the Healy 20 times.
Looking forward to Tuesday chain gang.
Iain.
