Erskine Bridge - Drymen via Croftamie - Pipe Track  to Aberfoyle, Dukes Pass, Loch Katrine and back the way we came. Opportunity for a cafe stop in Aberfoyle and also at the top of Loch Katrine. Great run with cracking scenery.

Hi Jets
I was getting ferry tickets in Dunoon and the lady handed me over a XS jets long sleeve winter jacket, said it was left there a while back.
I brought back home with me, does anybody belong to it?

Committee, please remove this photo. Multiple sock crimes going on. What if a Jet was to see this? I believe the club has an outbreak of Borlanditis. #savethesock!

Cracking day out.
Set off from the club house at 7, dressed for the Sahara, more like siberia.
We set off and with our arms numbed by the cold met Paul in lochwinnoch, a pleasant ride to Inverkip where paul split off and it was off to Rothesay for Colin and I.
The sun was doing its thinng by then and we had a cracking run until Colintraive where we turned into the wind. A battle to Dunoon then a roll stop in Gourock. Up the Clune and onto Amaretto where we met Alan T for a recovery pint.
Great day out, sunburnt and sore.

Due to my three year sabbatical I have become way too short for my weight! The only training I have been doing is cycling from Houston to Kilmalcolm with the kids and getting a fry up!
So here are my chain gang and weight goals for this season,
Weeks 1-2 Get to the end of the Georgetown
Weight - The same as a Billy and Geo lovechild.
Weeks 2-4 Get to Bishopton
Weight - Greg Balden with a pair of heavy boots on.
Weeks 4-6 Get over the Cote du Bishy (I named it after my famous dropping on it during the Bogs)
Weight - Charlie giving Gummers a piggy back
Weeks 6-8 Hang on to the bottom of the Clune
Weight - Gunson/Archibald wet through
Weeks 8+ Give everyone a pumping!!
Weight - My right leg weighing the same as P McDonald!
See you tomorrow night if my kit fits!!!
 

Great turn out with 14 riders on a pleasant spring evening - although one that wouldnt have been so pleasant with the tough headwind on the return leg!

Starting to get the lighter nights now, so 6:45 for 7.00 off, all riders welcome. As usual, someone to hold and timekeep would be most welcome, allowing the rest of the fine athletes to ride.
Usual meeting place at the end of the Georgetown road, the course is down to the roundabout and back.
Last one on the Georgetown until June, because we go to the Westferry next week.

Due to popular demand this thread has moved from 13th April to 20th April. For those of you unfamiliar with this ancient ritual we board the 0700 hours ferry to Brodick. Get off and ride round the island and get the next ferry back. This is the first 2019 edition with aspirations for the legendary Double Arran attempt later in the summer.
 
Don't be like me and miss the ferry despite living 4 miles away. 
 
Be like Darryl and pace according to the team on the climbs not according to how Many watts you can meat out on your pals
 
If the ferry master approves your boarding of the next ferry then you will enter Paul McD’s Hall of Fame! You can tell stories to your children and grandchildren at they sit at your feet in wonder for many years to come!

What a weekend with the Joansin family. Could not have asked for better company, weather, digs, food or cycling. 
Looking forward to reliving it all when Chung gives us his full account of the weekend and others sharing their pics and stories.  Thanks to all for making it such a memorable event. Same time next year, I hope. 
PS yes I'm biaised, but Jets were the best drilled bunch in Flanders.

So much for club camaraderie. Was 1 minute late. Initially thought no one turned up but went round corner and saw big group in distance. Tried to catch u but head wind beat me so turned round and headed up back road to Bishopton but missed you. Met Alan Thomson on bishy hill. You nasty guys had already dropped him despite all your protestations of stick together to top of Bishy. We had s cracking 2 up to bridge of weir. Great tail wind on dual carriageway. Any way gloves are off and once I know who was in Bunch tonight no quarter will be given for rest of season
ps Archibald I I had a heart rate spike of 215 so my alarm would have been well ringing. Hope it was just the stress of trying to get to start after a hard days work
