pete bennell
Simon, I'm actually down to ride the Hugh Robb 50 TT on the Sunday, but have heard rumours that it may be cancelled due to roadworks. If this is the case, then I will ride the Hunna. Pete
Members Kenny MacDonald
Just had a fone call regarding this event. Harry has informed people it isnt on , so we need a publicity campaign to let people know its on and when. Suggest posting details on Braveheart,SC,audax sites plus as many other club websites as possible complemented by some posters in bike shops. Unfortunately my PC isnt reliable enough at present to do any of above

Guest Jim Daly
I was very keen to take part, not least to get the lie of the land for the Balloch-Dunoon, but have accidentally pre-arranged to play golf the same day. Jim

vicky begg
I'm keen to do this. Not one for watching Jim and others cycle themselves into oblivion up North - I'll leave that up to Stevie! I'd meet everyone the Dumbarton side of the Erskine Bridge if you just let me know your ETA and which junction/roundabout you come off at. Stevie Blom
Thats a bummer Vicky you are not going to be up north , i thought what a chance to chat up Vicky for 12 hours !!!! Helping out is what i will be doing certainly not riding it !!!! Im daft but not mad. Going on last years Century ride it was a fantastic day out. All levels of ability mixing it together for a social run. Lets hope the sun is out too!!! Stevie

vicky begg
Brian, what exactly is it that you do on a Friday night to make Saturday mornings such a struggle? Tch, you should be setting us a better example than this.

Dennis
I hope to be on this run, either on solo bike or tandem with Aileen. Are JW's forming a bunch, or do we just join up with any group that looks compatible? Dennis

simon simpson
From the North side of the Clyde by bike go out to the Erskine Bridge ..cross it ...down the bike / ped exit turn right stay on the pavement ignore the return bridge entry and take the first right into Erskine Hospital... carry on down the drive over any speed bumps etc and there's a big building on the LHS with a big car park and a wee building nearby on the North side of the car park... The only other way I can describe it is as part of the Erskine Sprint Triathlon bike leg route... after you go down the big hill away from Erskine go through the roundabouts and at the one after you've gone under the bridge on ramp go right.. that's usually about the point where you question if 12 mph is ok in a triathlon... As for 12 hour helper vs. Harry's Hunner... no contest..anyway the 12 hr is on the Sunday at 6am...plenty time to get up there........ ss
2024 Subscriptions Darryl Gunson Posted August 16, 2005 2024 Subscriptions Report Share Posted August 16, 2005 Hi Simon sorry I won't be able to ride this weekend, but fingers crossed for good weather and a healthy turn out. Can JWCC members keep their eyes 'peeled' and their ears open for Finn Ramones - over from Australia and stayingin the Westend (of Glasgow) - who may well join the ride and the club have a good one Darryl
KennyS
Just seen Heather on my telly. She's promising that it's going to be scorchio on Saturday. How many do we have so far? Kenny
vicky begg
Do we stop somewhere nice for lunch? i.e, nicer than a Spar or the side of the road? So, is it not the case, Simon, that most people will be coming from the South over to the North, or have I misunderstood and we are heading South first and coming back from the North?
