Did my first 'strava' run this evening!

Even got a KOM award!

ALan - I had no trouble finding and joining the Wheelers club - see the link above (rbinnie).

Did you type johnstone wheelers into the search and not jwcc?

You only need to ensure GPS is enabled on your phone and start Strava at the beginning of a ride.

After that you can forget about it until you finish, then switch off recording.

My android phone then automatically uploads the data and starts comparisons. If you have cycled over a "segment" then the app will log a time. You only need to start/stop the app.

You could go for a walk with it on just to get an idea.

Hi

I still cannot find jwcc in clubs section. I can see Glasgow Nightingales but after that there is only one club beginning with J and it is not us.

I have tried searching for jwcc, Johnstone, wheelers etc.

Any tips?

Alan,

I see you have found it and I see you have been running! Is that the thing you do on your feet? I prefer a comfy wee seat, and so do my knees. :-?

A 43.21 for 10km is not bad for a training run.

Cheers,

R

Just done 760m of climbing in 1.45 on local hills.

Can anyone climb 1000m in two hours?

Not a very hard climb rate in the Alps but need to find right route here.

Ad hoc rules:

Restricted to local climbs: inverclyde, renfrewshire,Ayrshire.

No repeats, but can go out and back once over same hill.

Must finish same place or lower altitude than start.

Should be possible, last 15 mins of our trip was descent.

Route on Strava, including local climb of 1.6 km of 9% average.
