Guest
Hate the main road on way back but will go with the flow. May I suggest a jaunt to Callander sometime?
Mark O
Sounds okay to me. I assume turn right at Arrochar and down lochside and back to the Bridge. Don't think I've got a run over the Rest to Dunoon in the legs yet, that's a 120 mile day for me Callandar/Aberfoyle the following week perhaps, assuming no snow - still January lest we forget. Aberfoyle is a ton for me so 80 ish from Miller Street. Good shout Hincapie. I knew you would come in handy for something one day M
2023 Subscriptions Gummers Posted January 9, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted January 9, 2012 Hi Guys Helensburgh / Arrochar sounds good to me for next Sunday. So does Callander / Aberfoyle! Andy
Paul C
Arrocahar bit of stretch for me probably but could possibly do Callender - mileage? Plenty cafes in Callender. Assume it takes in Dukes pass - from which direction?

DavieB
This still the plan for Sunday? Should be out barring relapse of open plan office syndrome. D
Mark O
Davie, Indeed it is until El Capitani aka Routemaster McDonald (no nasty unwarranted comments London Buses guys please) says differently. Did note snow a possibility before the weekend and the lure of the BB may prove too strong for some. If you're out can meet you on the track 08.20. Guest EPCC
Weather not looking great for Arochar poss heavy frost so alternate ride full coast will decide on Friday when meteo might have a better guess
Mark O
Ah, the call of the BB proving too strong for the routemaster. Buckets and spades at the ready, looks like the coast everyone
Guest EPCC
Safety first Arochar route may be slow to defrost so only option is the coast and move Arochar to next week
Guest
OK but can we try for Ardrossan? lovely bit of road down to there. Mark will back me up on this. Plenty of bale out options for the less gifted.
Mark O
At your shoulder Hincapie. Yes, a nice wide ribbon of smooth blackstuff and no real hills to speak of, couple of false flats though. Circa 76 miles - a little more if we take the road to Barrmill on the return leg. 2024 Subscriptions Darryl Gunson Posted January 21, 2012 2024 Subscriptions Report Share Posted January 21, 2012 See y'all tomorrow. Full coast weather permitting? Better make it a short stop then. I've heard the pac e is a bit quicker than before Xmas, so perhaps it won't take too long. Hope I can keep up
Guest
Darryl, good to have you back. The bunch has lacked decorum in your absence. I'm sure you will be flying after your med training camp. I just couldn't go that long without a bacon roll.
