James reacted to gregbalden in Sunday 25th June! Aberfoyle
Cracking day today. Good company, good route decent weather.
Also, really good to see progression from the intermediate bunch to the " Sunday longer / faster " bunch. Let's see more new faces come through!

Decent weather!!???
My first road miles since the end of May and the wind made me feel it!
Cheers for the wheels. I literally wouldn't have made it otherwise!!
Next ride...Marmotte!! Can't say I'm too optimistic about it but hopefully if we manage our pacing then we'll just about make it!!

Paul's review covers a great day out. Big totals in climbs and distance, enjoyed the Loch Katrine road...something different but also during the wettest spell of the day.
At Erskine Bridge didn't follow the lemmimgs leaping out across the off ramps to get to the A82, but followed the traditional route round the footie park, maddest thing I've seen in cycling!
JWCC bunch worked really well for the most part, got to expect a few cutting loose every now and again over such a long day! Always regrouping.
Special mention for the organiser Graham and his family who had coffee and food available in his back garden before 8 a.m. and then a variety of brilliant hot food, cakes and drinks at the end for all finishers to enjoy.

Another excellent day out at Millport. Chapeaux to:
Joseph Mackintosh 1st junior in the TT and 2nd junior in the hill climb
Iain Couttie, 2nd in the medium old group in the TT
Ian McGinty, 1st in the medium old group in the hill climb and 5th overall
Scott Mackintosh, PBS in both events
Gerard Deeley, PBs in the TT.
A fairly decent return for the joansin today.
I was worse than last year in both events.

James reacted to iain couttie in This weekend?
mental pace is right, good wake up call for the legs, only three strong brave riders managed the whole ride, me Eric and a mental french guy i think he got a bit bored with the pace after the proper cyclists left. nice lad but i couldn't talk much as i was doing a gasping fish sort of thing most of the time. will be stronger next week.

James got a reaction from JaneF in Fred Whitton Challenge 2017
Great day out with the bunch with a nice pace early on keeping together and re-grouping after the climbs. Brutal climbs at the end made harder with people all over the place and not getting a straight line.
Suffering today with my ribs and back..... plenty pain killers and still feeling it !!
Attached the only photo at the 1st feed stop: Ginty, me, Alex, Darrel, Robbie
Till next time..

James reacted to DavieB in 14 May Reverse Transmitter Hill
Was good to get out with a group again even though I was popped a fair few times, it is a cracking route even though I chopped the windmill farm section to drumclog out to save my legs.
Excellent day.
Caught some of the road race as I headed home via stewarton....looked mighty tough, with a fully committed Paul McDonald on the nose of the 2nd group on the road.
