iain couttie got a reaction from Iain67 in Who’s doing what with their Easter eggs on Easter Sunday?
Was certainly an epic one, hope not to have a repeat anytime soon. Ligaments are still bad news. Hats of Colin for carrying on. If you were a horse I would probably have shot you. See you next week

Jets had a blast this morning. Thanks to all in the 9.00 bunch for making them so welcome despite their tender years aka making sure they did their fair share of work :-)

North of the bridge always disappoints....that was grim. Fortunately the weather must have stopped the idiot drivers putting their windows down so it was only Couttie who called me names today.
Good to see a big bunch out.

Had a wee run in with a car on my commute home from work yesterday, spent most of last night in the hospital getting checked out, X-rays show no broken bones, so no lasting damage, just pretty sore, mainly my back, with a few other minor injuries, so won’t make it out this weekend ..

Wow.. I am gubbed!
I was a little unsure of heading out in that wind, but glad I pressed on and got out there. Thought we all worked really well together into the wind, which was proper tough at points... then of course en route back from Balmaha the expected tailwind wasn't even half as strong as expected, and provided little benefit. Mention for Mr Carvill who wasn't feeling great on the way back but pressed on and applied #Rule5 appropriately
I ended up coming off cornering on a drain cover at the end of my street 30secs from my house ffs but no damage other than a slightly bent bar which I straightened again.
Overall a great but tiring trip. I do fancy that again in the summer all the way to Rowardennan

iain couttie reacted to chung in Sunday 9th December - North vs South?
Destination sunny Kilcreggan - bunch of 10 riders - Alan (Hendry), Alex, Colin Sale, Colin McPhee, Eric, Glen, Jaki, Iain Carvil/McGinty & myself made steady progress all the way to Helensburgh, where upon Colin M turned back to play in a gig later on the afternoon.
We were joined part way in Helensburgh by 2 of Glen's friends who also are heading to Flanders next April, getting some km in their legs no doubt & introducing themselves to some of us Flanders bound Wheelers too!
What was meant to be a quick cafe stop in Kilcreggan turned out to be anything but, the service was good but it was sloooooooooooow!
A welcome tail wind on the way back up the road, but some mad drivers about which wasn't expected this time of the week but still it didn't spoil the run in good weather for December & good wheels to follow all day!
Kudos to Jaki who haven't been on a bike since early October, she dug in & made it all the way round, chapeau!
Probably a shorter route next Sunday ........... it was dark by the time I rocked up my front door :-/
Thanks again for the company & wheels today
Cheers
