Paul C got a reaction from Ian Holms in Sunday 26th March : Dunlop Dairy
What a lovely day for a run (with a bunch of 8) after a chilly start! Got a bit warm so had to unzip my jacket couple of inches at the end!.
Left the bunch at the dairy and soloed back to LW via Kilmaurs, Crosshouse and Kilwinning.
Excellent day out and a good old natter in the tearoom. The chocolate cake was lovely.
I think we have exhausted the cheese jokes!!!

Brilliant spring sunshine for the Masters Vets RR today. Shorts and short sleeves and very little wind to speak of. Below constitutes the race report:
Up down up down up down up down up down up crash up down up down up crash finish
Before crash 1 good effort by Gregg O who stayed off til lap 5. I went down with 10 other guys in bizarre no sense out of blue crash. Colin okay. My chain came off in crash and got on wrong side of pedal. Took ages to sort. Finished race with solo effort over 13 miles. Nasty crash at sprint finish. Colin okay. One rider Alistair Pell KO'd but regained consciousness and taken to crosshouse.
That'll be the race season started then.

I'll be there.
After the cafe stop will peel off and do a few extra miles at a medium pace.
Any Intermediates want to do that?

Sorry,Billy.
When I see a rider in club kit approaching I slow own and get a a good look at the face to see who it is.
You weren't wearing club kit so I didn't take any notice of who it was.
Couttie was so far behind you that I thought he was by himself!!

Paul C got a reaction from Richie Cross in Reliability run 1- Tour of Renfrewshire
Excellent turnout. Big bunch (16?) for the middle group.
A pretty nifty pace too (average 17 mph) for me!
My winter miles must be paying off as I didn't get dropped on the climbs! (not bad for an OAP!)
Tried to call you Chung when we waited after the Wall but no reply so we pressed on.
Thanks to those who provided refreshments.
Can somebody bring some milk next week?

Got up, had my coco pops, fell asleep on couch.
Will do something later.
Apologies to those who turned up purely to get a selfie with me.

Paul C got a reaction from EricL in Sunday 29th - Eglington Country Park (+ any intermediates)
Had to walk 100 m from house to get on gritted road!
After that no problem with ice.
Graeme, Boyd and me had a good steady run to Eglington Park for café stop.
Café is excellent with lots of space for a bunch invasion.
Scrambled egg roll was very good and Graeme was impressed with the amount of bacon in his roll (Chung please note! ).
On the way back it had warmed up a bit and the sun was starting to break through.
Towards the end I peeled off to do an extra loop and got 52 miles in the bag.

A lovely run. Rain stayed away.
Nice cafe stop at the dairy where we 6 had the place to ourselves!
I need to do more club runs - much more enjoyable than solo stuff.

Yes, Iain, it was a real struggle to hold in the 'all-inclusive' stomach.
BTW- the hired bike was KTM Strada 2000.
Alloy frame and a triple on the front! Oh the shame of it!!!!!
But seriously, a good sturdy but heavy bike.
