Great day all round for JWCC and the race was superb as always.
Charlie took the V60, and a prime
I took the V50, with Colin 1/2 wheel behind for second in that category
    Richie was 10th overall

I'm sure you've all been tracking the weather for Saturday - well its getting even better for Arran, SSW wind, perfect for a blast up the West coast.
Team players required - a 2 up with Charlie could prove harder than a DA

FYI there is a sportive on Arran on Saturday with around 200 riders.
They are going clockwise from Brodick.
You will probably be half way round when they start at 9.
Might be unusually busy on the ferry.

A friend told me the weather looks near perfect at this stage for an SA on Saturday morning. What could be better -  a glorious Autumnal SA -  use all that summer form to get into the Hall of Fame,
So who might be up for that. Usual script - 0700 ferry, 56 lumpy miles, will be paced to achieve the required 20mph, return on 1105 ferry.

Banging bunch of 9 today. Had a blast up the coast then a visit to the BB where we caught up with Ian C. Pretty cold and wet when we came out so it became an eyeballs out experience via W Kilbride to Lochwinnoch where I was relieved to exit left. Good riding from Charlie with a rapid pace being set mainly by Richie, Gregg, Marc and Scott but everyone emptied the tanks.

I know I don't mention Arran often enough so I thought I should,
Yesterday I reckon I had a missed life opportunity, I was on Millport and frankly the weather was near perfect for an SA or DA. Anyways can't look back so I thought I'd post right here right now to see who is up for an SA next Saturday if weather not pi****g down. There are a few guys in the club that I reckon could achieve immortality with a DA and I would be more than happy to be a 1 or 1.5 lap domestique if they felt the pull of eternal glory.
    Arran forever

Great ride!  Met chung en route to the bridge, met John and Iain there.  We cycled to Garelochead where we split.  Chung went up Glen Fruin to Balloch and home from there, and John went to Kilcreggan in the hope that the ferry was running... it was!  Iain and myself carried on to Arrochar where it started raining literally as we started to climb the Rest (we had a very small tailwind up - every little helps!).  However nothing really came of it and we had a wee coffee and some food at the top before heading down the main road towards Strachur.  We stopped for a bite to eat at the old wee pub/hotel on Loch Eck (nr the caravan park) which was really nice.  By this time the wind had died down and it was a straighforward run into Dunoon for the ferry back.  Sore legs kicked in for me going along the A8 but we persevered and got home at the back of 3.  Decent day out, cheers guys!!

Yep. Solo chainy! If there is such a thing
A good safe steady through and off. Just had to let the imagination go wild. I was even hearing Charlie moaning at the bishy lights... Richie sprinting up kilmacolm and there was fierce competition on KOM and sprint.
Managed to average 23mph! Beat that suckers.

Galeb, you should be very worried, you are indeed straying close to Charlie territory, 2 mechanicals before you got out the door 🙄There is a critical difference though that gets you off the hook - you managed to fix them and get back mobile ….
Otherwise excellent, after BB, Emma and I did W Kilbride with a thumping tailwind back from Dalry.

Good ride this morning with strong headwinds in to Largs. Fast and smooth pace while sharing the workload (Arran style ). After Largs solo back for me.
Thanks Paul for waiting a few mins this morning for me to sort slow puncture and then rear mech cable which I realised was frayed!...Almost did a Charlie this morning with bike maintenance

    This is not too controversial
On Tuesday night the bogs bunch took the Cloak Road, it worked a lot better than dodging up the roadworks and round the scheme.
Also Main Road to Bishopton is open again, albeit with one set of traffic lights.
