Members Iain67
Anyone fancy a wee run down to Kilcreggan via Glen Friun?
2023 Subscriptions thejanullrichdietplan Posted September 29, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 29, 2014 Not sure if i can make it yet but Kilcreggan via Glen Fruin sounds good. Or maybe going back that way as the hairpin descent might be a bit slippy with leaves at the moment.

2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted September 30, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 30, 2014 A club run on the same day as the hill climb championship? I'll be doing the event. Â Not that I'll even be close to winning.... GrahamF
Guest George
Quite, down with this sort of thing!
Mark O
Yeah fair point Alan. At the very least those wanting a club run should hold off until later in the day and support the hill climb. Â I'll be first to hold my hand up regards last weeks club run clash with the 2up championship. To be fair though I think I posted before the 2up thread went up and was none the wiser. Suggest Kilcreggan for the following weekend and a tour of the shire at the very least on Sunday. Â M
Guest EPCC
As posted earlier it's not against club rules for a club run on confined events
Alan Michael
Absolutely loaded with cold and cough but if feeling better I'll do the hill climb. The more the merrier and if hill climb is early we could go a short run after. Just a thought
DavieB
After the 2-up "affair" it would be good to get some riders, supporters and helpers at the hill climb. It will die on it's backside otherwise.  Unfortunately I can't compete as I will be at Callander park for Cyclocross race.  If I have time today I will post a reminder that the hill climb championship is indeed on as some of these events don't seem to get a lot of publicity - no dig intended as I appreciate the work committee members put in and everybody (including me) should be helping out as much as we can. It's our club after all.  Davie Mark O
Colin McPhee
Up for a run after the hill climb who else ?
Members Iain67
Apologies did not know there was a club event, I'll aim to come along and head out afterwards
alexb
Where is information re the hill climb? Time and location (think I've sussed the date!)
2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted September 30, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 30, 2014 You'll find it under the confined events section. It's held in Howwood, near the Elliston Grill. It's the short route up to Bowfield from that end of the village. alexb
2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted September 30, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted September 30, 2014 Definitely up for a post event run. I guess the route will be decided on the day?
Chris
I'd be up for tagging along again if it's alright. Would be good to come along and watch the hill climb as well. Darryl Gunson
Mark O
Post hill climb run then. Meet at the Eliston Grill (bar/restaurant off the A373 at the Howwood turn) Not sure of a time - could someone advise. Proposed route - Track to Kilbirnie, Largs, down to West Kilbride, 3 towns, Kilwinning, Sunnyside, the Barrmill circuit, Bowfield (the easy direction) Miller Street/Home. Don't know the mileage. No cafe stop, steady pace.
2023 Subscriptions AlanT Posted October 1, 2014 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted October 1, 2014 Assuming the event goes ahead then, it'll be a 11.00 rollout from the Elliston Grill? 10.30 if people want to spectate, applaud, cheer, help out, or simply gaze in awe.
