Early warning for a club day out. Meet at Miller St. at 08.45 For a spin down to Largs for the 10.15 ferry, those that want to meet at Largs because they have multiple bikes is fine. Ferry to Millport and take part in either TT or road race or both, refreshments and trip back via whatever means suits. Could be a long day out, but not that many miles unless you're taking part in both events. Any interest?

Bump. Houston to Largs in an easy 75 minutes solo this morning, so 08.45 depart from Miller St. to Largs in a bunch would be comfortable to catch the 10.15 ferry. Post up if you're planning to join us for the cycle down.

Not sure exactly what my plans are for the day in terms of getting to Largs. All i would say is that its normally very busy on this day, and you need to get your tickets prior to boarding, normally quite a queue at ticket office, so you probably dont want to leave it tight for time....

Thanks Iain. Just had a look at the calmac ferry page. Checkin closes at 10 minutes prior to departure, so we probably need some extra time. 08.15 from Miller St.? Ferry is every 15 minutes from 10.00, so we should have some options.

Anyone wanting to cycle down to Largs for this social day out on Millport, 8.15 depart from Miller St. to catch either 09.45, 10.00 or 10.15 ferry to Millport. There's a TT in the morning and a road race in the afternoon. I'm planning to cycle down, do the TT, watch the road race and train back to Johnstone. There may be refreshments involved........

Anyone else?

8.15 depart Miller St. Cycle track to lochwinnoch, kilbirnie, road to largs. Should be in lochwinnoch comfortably by 08.45, kilbirnie about 15 minutes later. Largs for 10.00 easy. Those taking part in both races, or not fancying the early start, we'll see you at the 10.00 ferry.

This is a social day out, so don't expect big miles or fast pace.
