Members Richard
To muddy the waters further - just for the hell of it! - I've got an email from Jet2 which says that "the transfer you have booked allows bikes on at no extra cost". Is that the bus transfer to the hotel? Not the actual plane trip? Oh well...worse case scenario, it's 8 euros
Members Richard
Yeah, I think so, Richie. In fact I know so cos they just took 60 quid off me to get the bike on the plane! They also made encouraging noises about taking, say, 15 bikes on the flight out on the 27th. They said it wouldn't be a problem on that flight, so long as the bikes are added to the booking in advance.
Life Members chung Posted October 4, 2012 Life Members Report Share Posted October 4, 2012 Richard, Are you "slumming it" in a room to your self? Make sure its got a safe in it. Chung
Members Richard
Yes, Chung. I will retire to my apartment post-ride so I don't ruin the holiday mood.
Paul C
I don't think getting the bikes on the plane will be a problem. It is more likely getting them on the bus. When I phone Jet2 to book the the bikes I will ask them about it.
Guest EPCC
Just to confirm it is 8 euros each way to take bike onto bus I have booked the four bikes Also if we used our heads we could oh got Ten percent discount by booking as a group
Members Richard
That sounds right, Billy. I've just had a phonecall from Jet2. They said that the email they sent me earlier in the week is incorrect, and that the transfer isn't free after all. It's going to cost 13 quid in total (or something like that.) Can't help wonder if that call was prompted by enquiries from other Wheelers, or if Jet2 have discovered the Bunch!
Richie Cross
That's mine and Chung's booked. When I'd enquired before, I was told we pay the driver but the girl today took the payment for the bike on the bus as well. At least I'll have the documentation with me saying I've paid already when Spanish driver no doubt insists on payment!
Scott D
I'm booked up for 7 days from 25th April, at the Pollensa Park hotel (2km from the Duva) which is cheaper for single rooms, and has good feedback on other cycling boards. 2023 Subscriptions Ramsay Posted November 14, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted November 14, 2012 Ritchie, Looks like route 10 to me. Basically the Duva Sportive route, if I remember correctly, although some more nice wee climbs than the route 10 posted by Scott, as well asbout 10 more miles. It's a longer descent doing it anti clockwise. R
Richie Cross
Cheers Ramsay, It's doable then. The twisty descent from about 3m 40s looks amazing
