Richie Cross
Hi, Here's a quick post with the link to our results Can I add that Chung's is wrong. Even abroad, I kept up my position at the rear and Chung saw me home. While I was the next finisher behind Chung, there probably wasn't 1 second between us so the time is wrong. Life Members chung Posted May 21, 2012 Life Members Report Share Posted May 21, 2012 Ritchie, I think the official time is about right, remember I past the starting time zone before you did. Therefore technically I took longer than you! Anyhow, we did manage it under the 10 hour mark. Well done to all wheelers who i'm sure no doubt enjoyed it immencely cycling up those 9 hills! Mark O
The hills were brill!, the descents were scaaaaaarrrryyyy. Have now checked my on the road stats from the computer, max speed is 55.1 mph I don't remember going that fast, must've had my eyes shut!!!! The times posted and places taken out of a large field by the azzurro et gialla speak for themselves. The times do taken in feed stops and mechanicals, so the riding time is all the more impressive. 2023 Subscriptions Ramsay Posted May 22, 2012 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted May 22, 2012 Guys, Sounds like a blast. V jealous! Although it is not a race, PMcD - nice one!! Only slight point of note is that I thought it was the "Nove Coll" - i.e. - Nine Hills! If so, then why are there only 8 jaggy bits on Darryl's Garmin route? What's next years plan then? Cheers, R
Richie Cross
Did Davie B not finish with the main Joansini bunch? M.I.A. I think. M Hadn't noticed!! Sorry Davie But....now I have noticed...searching under Johnston(sic), Borland or David doesn't find him but he does appear under the times for the climbs! Just can't find the overall time! Paul C
Blimey - can't believe there were 5 JWs slower than me on the last climb!! I see that i was 104th in the M7 category (Old Buggers 56 - 64 yrs). Don't know how many there were in total (not 104, I hope). Paul (I am not a climber) C. Paul, by my reckonining....in the M7 category, you were 183/545 over the Barbotto and then a lot must've taken the short course because only 142 were alive for the Girolo, out of which you were 53rd up. So, overall you were 104/142 of those hardy enough for the full course
