Gummers got a reaction from Iain67 in 21 May Faslane Haul Rd
Very disappointing day. Cycled 60 miles for kilcreggan eggs benedict to discover there's bacon in it. Cycled home again. 122 miles at end of day. Extra 2 miles was spent confusing Kilmalcolm with Kilbarchan.
Despite these blows. The company was grand!

Well done Alan - our wee coffee run to Tighnabruaich yesterday seems rather apologetic for a run. Kudos sir

Beautiful weather and views for 11 riders. Coffee in Aberfoyle by 1030 thanks to early start. Chung, Jesse, Andy and I returned via lake of menteith and Top of the Wold which lived up to its name. Main group last seen "getting in the miles" to loch katrine which is quite a big ask from Johnstone so I am guessing a few will have done 200k+ in fantastic riding conditions.

Gummers reacted to P McDonald in DA17
I sense this is shaping up to be a real possibility if weather ok. With Alan prepared to domestique deluxe on lap 1 and Andy on lap 2 this could be a goer. I am up for ending myself for the cause whenever it is required inbetween.

Decided to head to Aberfoyle as I needed to be in Killearn later anyway. Got as far as Drymen and could not feel my hands so decided to head for the in-laws earlier than planned, hot shower and chocolate button egg

Thanks guys for a superb workout. About 85 miles which were pretty gritty at times with frozen rain, frozen wind, very strong gusty winds and hailstones !
So 7 intrepids, who can handle hard riding after a few refreshments the night before , did the business. And they even managed to rally themselves after the catastrophic, near fatal disappointment at Muirkirk where the pscycadelic cafe was closed. We rode so fast we were there before opening time.
Well done lADs, Colin, Alan M, Alex, Robbie, Jan, Marc and Me.

If not too much hassle for you mate I think it would be best kept separate. Might encourage non-chain gangers to participate more and as you mentioned keeps it nice and simple, I like simple.

I'm interested, but if I go I'll be last
Minutr addition. 4 days would be good, but cheap.
It's a bunch of guys riding bikes and drinking beer, posh hotels are NOT needed. Hostel or any other sort of cheap hotel/apartment, I say! Cheap all the way....
Just my tuppence worth....
