KennyS reacted to Richard in Track 12th March
Did you just like your own post?!
My replacement frame arrived today, so I should be back by the end of the month. Starting in the Bs, though, and not expecting much of myself - unless we abandon racing bikes and have a hopping-onto-a-box competition instead. I'll try and get along next week to watch (and pin your numbers on - obviously!)

Enjoyed that tonight
First up was a scratch, was ideally placed about 4th wheel with things strung out a bit with 3 to go then the guy in second attacked with 2 to go i just followed him then went past on the bell. If only all races would fall into my lap like that! Next up another scratch, unlike the first one this time i poorly positioned at about 10th when the sprint started so had to make a big effort and managed to get 2nd, was really pleased with that considering how far i had to go. Last was the points, think i was 3rd or 4th in the first sprint, 1st in the 2nd, didnt contest the third then the final one - well it hurt alot. Couple of riders had attacked after the sprint which i thought was going to stick so i bridged too, then as soon as that happened they eased up and everything came back together only with me on the front with 4 laps to go. Tried to keep a hard pace up so no-one would attack while at the same time trying not to blow up. With 1.5 to go no-one had attacked but i could tell there were a few just waiting behind the idiot on the front leading things out so i put my last bit of energy in to at least make them work for it and surprisingly it was enough to hold them off. Points races are much more fun when things work out
Next week will try entering the Bs again see if im accepted this time.

Three Towns Bypass? Didn't know that was on the route!
Smashing run which I thoroughly enjoyed. Left early with Ironman, caught by the main bunch breakaway riders on Phil's Folly. Might have made it ahead of them if we hadn't gone through the 3 towns.
Cheers Campbell for the usual 69 mile lead-out!

KennyS got a reaction from Ramsay in Don Smith Memorial Ride 2014
BIG effort from a number of members to put the event on today
Particular mention to Ramsay for giving up his Friday morning and Saturday afternoon to carry out risk assessments, as well as Big Al who was out early doors this morning to drive round the Medium route to carry out the re-assessment
Thanks also to AlanT, Greig, Jann for all their help with the sign-on
The Milligans at Lochbarr were their usual accommodating selves with some fine catering which takes a lot of pressure of the club
It was a pleasure to have Dot Smith along to see all the riders off and also fantastic to hear how Dot still takes an interest in the club as a whole
It was great to see so many faces from different clubs supporting the event, mostly local but others from afar as Perthshire and Edinburgh
Final figures on monies raised will be advised as soon as we can figure out how much we have to pay BC for insurance and admin fees (a necessary evil for Open Reliabilities in this day and age)
Sitting enjoying a beer
Gang Forward!

KennyS reacted to JaneF in Le Tour, Yorkshire
I know many Wheelers are looking to attend this event and struggling to find accommodation in the area, may I suggest the following website www.universityrooms.com look under Leeds and I found 40 single rooms ensuite available for Friday 4th July at £49 per night. Storm Jameson Court, central Leeds
None for Sat 5th,
Rooms at York University in Franklin House at £59 single ensuite for Saturday 5th, doubles( £90) and singles for Friday 4th and Sunday 6th
Also found B&B Knowles Lodge at Appletreewick, through link off the same source says available that weekend??? Also offers camping with minimal facilities on site for £2.50 a head http://www.knowleslodge.com/
It might help some of you to see the event.
Bonne Chance

KennyS got a reaction from Darryl Gunson in Extremely sad news
Can't believe it's five years since we lost Davie
Seems like yesterday we were riding carefree and joking on bunch runs and planning / developing a youth section for the club
Such a character and it was only when he was gone did I realise how big a part he played in so many other peoples' lives outside the club and how little I knew of him off the bike
