  2. Good summary Billy. Haven’t got much to add to this except that I think we all underestimated how difficult the event would be. I would also like to thank those that took on the lion's share of organising and driving, and to Billy's house for hosting the BBQ, and Paul especially for cooking the food. For our wee house I'd like to thank George for organising such nice accomodation - once we'd worked out how to get there it really was a wonderful location. Similarly, I'd like to thank Ginty and Charlie for the car hire and the driving. Both did a sterling job, even when tired and stressed. Thanks! Finally, the two Ia(i)ns cooked for our house. The food was great and the craic even better. Who can forget the two drunks shouting at each other about the existence/non-existence of God? All in all I had a splendid time. Would love to go back to the same place and ride for a week, ticking off the iconic climbs in a way compatible with drinking wine and fine dining!

  3. Like it says, whole club run, leaving Amaretto's in mixed ability groups from 09:00, the route is Kilmalcolm via the track, Port Glasgow, coast road to Largs, with the bunches going at the pace of the slowest riders far as the Bagel Basket. Please note that this is a Social pace run, so layers are good. After the BB, I guess the pace may pick up a bit, and the bunches split up with differing routes home. I'll take this opportunity to extend the invitation to the Jets and families as well. Post up if you're coming along.

    Saturday 8th

Can’t make whole day on Saturday but have a good one. Over in Ardentinny this week and was just thinking I’d love to get a ride in here before the weather gets cold. You might get a discount on the ferry if you show them your bus pass

  6. Great I will be there. We can talk about the rise and fall of St Mirren and how their fans have abandoned them for a foreign Italian team with similar strip and we can do this with impunity.

  9. Guys I have been using a neighbour for sports massage. Normally £40 for 60-90 Minutes. Company is Maximum Effect run by Jim Molloy who also teaches Pilates at the Carrick Loch Lomond, so knows his stuff. I had a session yesterday and feeling great, especially after Marmotte! He's based in Erskine but can also do home of club visit. Number 07816 932 778 and Jim will offer discount, £30 per session for JWCC. Cheers Iain
