Strictly between ferries of course to maintain annual tradition. 2h 45 @ 20mph to get 1105 return ferry. Or Ayrshire Alps Sunday, even with a proper cafe stop if you want. If there was a critical mass of fine men willing to commit to Arran on Sat 11th July before the race closing date on 28th June then I would be up for an Arran epic instead. I am thinking of a commit to a double Arran albeit slightly modified to 2 x 50 mile loops which is splendid as it reduces each lap by about 5 or 6 miles but there is a price to pay, it is over the Ross twice.
