Cuts & bruises & worst of all the top of my left thigh bore the brunt of the impact & has ballooned up. Can't put any weight on it. Back to bed. Was a belter today. Dry to Largs but mighty grim thereafter with sleety rain. A gid wee habble was had after Kilwinning ( there was also an aperitif habble before W kilbride to keep warm and this split a very enlarged bunch as the Fullarton joined us from Largs, must have been about 30 at that point) Great to see a six strong contingent from JWCC getting stuck in about it. Swelling numbers and slowing pace at Fairlie prompted a superb lift in pace which saw the numbers drop somewhat. Pace stayed decent after that. Habble started after Kilwinning. Last year I never quite made it to Auchentiber. Today made it to lugton. Thought I was going to get dropped at burnhouse but managed to grab Colin's wheel as he was trying to get back onto bunch. Got back on and managed to stir it up a bit before turning off at lugton. Taking a leaf out of Paul's book Brilliant showing by Joansin today! Sudden acceleration at West Kilbride almost caught me out but stayed on during attrition up the Barrhead Road. Fingers have now thawed out.
