Colin H
Alan, Get your predictions submitted before 1700 for the overalls and we can let you away with it. No entry for the Prologue tho. That just wouldn't be fair to Ramsay Colin
Colin H
Duncan was the winner of the prolouge de Swiss with Cancellara 1st and Sagan 3rd earning 18 points Richard and Davie, ohhhhhhh sooooooo close. 12 points for Cancellara's win (same as everybody else) but only 4 for Sagan and Van Garderen in the wrong order Paul and Ramsay share 3rd on the day with 14 points. Overall changes slightly with Paul and Richie yo-yo ing in and out of the lead and Jann overtaking Alan (who forgot about this one): 1st Paul 139 points 2nd Richie 138 points 3rd Me 119 points 4th Davie 117 points 5th Duncan 114 points 6th Richard 111 points 7th Billy 97 points 8th Jann 89 points 9th Alan 83 points 10th Ramsay 80 points 11th Greig 72 points 12th Kenny 68 points 13th Tom 52 points Alan, submit your choices by 12pm tomorrow for the overall. Penalty to be paid will be exclusion from the final days TT Points due for the ovealls tomorrow following completion of the Dauphine Colin
2023 Subscriptions duncan thomson Posted June 11, 2011 2023 Subscriptions Report Share Posted June 11, 2011 Is it too late to suggest that more emphasis is put on getting the correct people than the order. I think getting cancellara and Sagan should not score higher than getting the top 3 but not in the correct order. Would it be worth looking at for later events ( not retrospectively, obviously!) Colin H
Duncan, I follow what you are trying to say but would suggest that with Davie and Tom already having suffered the pain in earlier rounds it is too late to change for this season I have had a thought about this and would intend for next year to continue with the same scoring structure however without applying the 2 point bonus to those riders in the correct position. In todays case that would mean the following scoring: Duncan 10 points for Cancellara, 4 pointrs for Sagan (14) Ricahrd and Davie 10 points for Cancellara, 2 points for Sagan and 2 for Van Garderen (14) This would make things a bit fairer I think but for the reasons noted above not at this stage. The main emphasis however would still be on placings as all three in the correct order will score more points as I consider correct placing to be the harder prediction. Colin H
The Dauphine is now over and I have a sore head Tallying up the points has proved interesting and some notable changes in our standings have occurred. Victor in this race was: Richard 35 points 2nd place for Paul with 23 points and Duncan followed up in 3rd with 17 points. Overall standings are as follows: 1st Paul 162 points 2nd Richie 152 points 3rd Richard 146 points 4th Duncan 131 points 5th Me 125 points 6th Davie B 117 points 7th Billy 101 points 8th Jann 97 points 9th Ramsay 86 points 10th Alan 85 points 11th Greig 78 points 12th Tom 77 points 13th Kenny 72 points Paul is starting to pull away towards the Hors category Tour and the chasing pack is splintering behind him. Lantern Rouge now passes to Kenny as Tom moves up from bottom spot Colin

Colin H
I win the Tour de Swiss with 32 points (I have checked and double checked): 2 points for Cunego in Overall; 12 points for A Schleck 1st in mountains and 6 for Cunego 3rd; 12 points for Leopard Trek team (just incase stewards enquiry call ) Tom was second with 30 points Joint 3rd were Richie, and Kenny with 26 points. All this makes the overall as follows: 1st Paul 200 points 2nd Richie 194 points 3rd Richard 180 points 4th Me 171 points 5th Duncan 170 points 6th Jann 148 points 7th Billy 137 points 8th Davie 131 points 9th Ramsay 116 points 10th Kenny 112 points 11th Tom 107 points 12th Greig 92 points 13th alan 85 points One to watch out for - Jann, who is quietly making her way up the overall. I think we should include a top 3 in the British RR championships (which take place this weekend) before the tour. So predictions required for the top 3 by 23:59 Friday night.
